Ironic. Have you read the lyrics to Somewhere Between Useless and Just Plain Stupid yet? This is actually exactly what that song is about, but on a different scale.

"Pure survival. Pure survival with no joy, for no reason than instincts. Droning workers supporting their queen, paving the way for a new generations mistakes. Somewhere between the innocent and naive, the individual. There's space available... Somewhere between murder and punishment. Somewhere between frustration and impatience, Somewhere between pious and godless, Individual. A being based in numbers, numbed by passion. A hangover, a scar left by a smile, as the apparatus begins to fail".

Now that's mallcore.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Aug 30,2005 1:25am
opeth to shroud was very nice too.
rev has always been a quality programmer.

I was actually kidding. I have no idea what the hell those lyrics mean. I was pretty baked when I wrote 'em.

they were probably about how smart you are!!!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 30,2005 1:43am
damn it! the CD player was on continuous!

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Aug 30,2005 1:45am
nah, it really does apply...basically what I gather from them is that mediocrity is often accepted as a sort of ideal individual...and that pretty much works for the sort of dual forces in wanting to be extreme and fit in...trying to do both=mallcore?

I dunno, I'm not just blowing smoke up anybody's ass.

toggletoggle post by ArrowHead nli at Aug 30,2005 1:47am
My lyrics are NEVER about how smart I am.

Actually, every song on the album is about how much dumber everyone else is.

Since you're at work, you've got the $10. Go pick up a copy, and help support our burger king habits. Consider it payment for the little bit of my soul you've destroyed by forcing me to bear the breadth of your interweb fucktardery.

toggletoggle post by ArrowHead nli at Aug 30,2005 1:51am
haha, I just re-read em, Brian. I'm pretty sure it's about how much I hate working at papa ginos.

I'm not sure if it's an ego thing, but I've always loved seeing the different things people get out of what I write. I was the geek in English class that would volunteer my stuff when the teacher wanted the class to critique someones poems or essays.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Aug 30,2005 1:52am
of course he's brilliant...now buy into Huey Lewis

You can use it, but you have to follow the phrase with one of those "registered" symbols afterwards. Even when you say it outloud.

Brian, how'd you know I played on "sports"?

Sweet. I'm gonna write a song about how my pecker looks. People will be like "oh yeah dude, that song is totally about niggers", and I'll be like "nah dude, it's about my peepee", and they'll be like "oh, the line about only fucking white girls threw me off".

Just Huey. He actually doesn't like the BJ's. He prefers hand jobs. I'm a lefty. He asked me to use my right hand, said it reminded him of the retarded girl he counseled at special ed camp.

I'd say the biggest I've been with is Chris Burke, who played Corky on "Life Goes On". Pillory played a gig with his band once, and we ended up hooking up. The kids hung like a horse, no wonder he's always smiling.

By the way, Chris Burke really does have a band, I'm not kidding.
