Well we made it back from this show alive. What a fucking horribly long drive.....

Ok, we had a great fucking time. Thanks to everyone who came out. I'm now voting John Dwyer for President because he has the coolest fucking collection of CD's in one box that I have ever seen. And Armagedon because she was cool shit.

My review:

Distrust: Holy shit these guys were fucking awesome. I haven't seen them play in YEARS. They kicked ass. Powerful set with some new mad assed shit.

Hand Choke Neck: That's our band. I guess that we sounded pretty good.

Shroud of Bereavement: Never cease to amaze me. Played a super-tight set and I could hear all of the vocals. It helped that the sound in this place was great. I'm still amazed at how many band members there are and how great that they hold it all together.

The Nightmare Continues: Due to some unforseen shit, they couldn't play. HOWEVER, they STILL came to the show and watched all of us play our sets. One of the classiest and most kick ass bands out there. Can't wait to play with them again (Boston.) GREAT bunch of guys.

ok i was really digging distrust last night, i was never that impressed with their cd's i mean they are cool but nothing like they were last night....damn they were awesome!!!! hell yeah kev is an awesome drummer. and they had energy \m/

hand choke neck FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the club has the best fucking sound in there, and man did hcn prove my point. you couldnt even tell there was no bass. they were so fucking brootal!!!!! god damn!!!!! i fucking love this band. their new singer is sick. and what energy. jake freaks the fuck out. hell yeah, these guys own!!!!!

tnc. i was very dissappointed that they couldnt play and the drummer i (think) was a bit gay, dood, sorry the show wasnt as "high profile" as you wanted it to be. and it helps to look at people when you talk to them, instead of being all too cool for school. after all it was a wed, and you guys live in town, where are all of your peeps. and if you waited till the bands got set up people did come out of the bar area. it wasent the best turn out, but still 30 or so people! the rest of the guys were stand up for making it back to the club!!!! and i like them guys too. and i was really looking forward to having my head blown off by them....ohh well maybe next time.

but somethings need repeating, NMC? what the fuck was that shit? yeah, yeah, i know 2 of you guys came back to show face, but that was fucking shitty. I heard from someone else after you guys left that it was most likely all one person who fagged out, then I just read it here. the whole thing was pretty disrespectful to all the members of the other 3 bands that played, it was a blatant fuck you to the rest of us. you guys suck.

dispite the small draw, it was a high energy show and all the bands were in top form.

Well, I gotta protect the dudes in The Nightmare Continues on this one. It was 1 guy that had a problem and for the rest of them to come back was as classy as classy can get. I throw the horns to those dudes for doing that. That shows respect and honor, something that people have VERY LITTLE of these days. They wanted to play the show, believe me. I had a conversation with them for quite a while after they came back. They really are a good bunch of guys.
Shit happens guys. I was cussing them out too, until I saw them come back to see us all play our sets.

he was a bit arrogant, but i guess the show wasnt worth the hassel for him. too "low profile" and not enough promotion??? i dont know thats just what he said to me. i mean what the fuck. us and distrust drove and hour and hcn drove 2 @ 1/2 hours. we played like men. they live there, where are there fans. its not like they couldnt promote. they live in that town for christs sake. and we turned down like 4 other bands so they could play.
im sure the other bands would have loved th oppertunity to play a show!

first off, i'd like to apologise to everyone for not playing.
that said, the reason only two of us came back was that in all honesty, we were all fucking exhausted. on guy has a two year old son and a family to take care of (i know some of you guys do too), and someone else had to pack to all sorts of shit to catch a plane in the morning.
it's not really a secret what happened last night, and i know everybody is pissed at one guy in particular. in his defense though, i do have a couple of things to say. one is that like i said, we were all exahusted from work/other bands/etc. he also did have quite a chunk taken out of his finger due being bitten by a his pit bull which was affecting his playing.
one of the things that was brought up is that we didn't play because there wasn't enough people there, and that being close to our home we should have drawn more. fair enough-- but to our credit, we did tell everyone we could get in touch with about the show, but there's only so much you can do in two days. and to be perfectly honest, i have to agree with the point that the show could have been better promoted. i'm not knocking anyone or anything, but as constructive critcism, i didn't see anything about that show except for on this board. that said, we wouldn't cancel a show solely because of a poor turnout. we drove to canada and played for like 10 kids. our drummer's old band played a show in NH for one kid.
there was lots of other shit going on and i'm sorry we brought our shit with us. but greg is our drummer and our friend, and although we ALL have disagreements from time to time, we have to support each other.
we're all human and we all have our foul moments. everyone's entitled to it once in a while i guess. i'm just sorry for that way it went down, and i'm truly sorry to anyone that we pissed off.

unfortunately it was presented to dyingmuse by a tnc band member in a different context with a different attitude than that of yours.

this is the "gay "guy from tnc...,wow i knew this was going to get everyones panties in a bunch,but this is a riot.look the reason for myself not wanting to play that show was,when we were told the show started at 9 oclock we got there at 7:30,figuring the doors to the club would be open and most if not all of the bands(especially the one who decided to book the show,not verry professinal)would be there.we showed up to a geriactic card game going on.upon asking the club owner he informed me that the show wouldn't start til 10 or 10:30.as soon as i found that out i was ready to split.so my band went and got food(which took an hr.)so by 8:30/9:00 o clock,there was still nobody there and the card game was on.look i have played in a shit load of bands before and i know when a show is going bad,and this was one of them times.first off we were told we wre playin first ,then second,then probally to a headlining spot so ya'll can get on the road to get home.i have had this happen to many a band i was in,but not this time.you can say "oh we would have stayed" but i feel as that would be bullshit.and to ever said i wasn't lookin u in the eye(singer of sob)that was bullshit also,i have people that saw me do so,but whatever,i am not sorry if i hurt anybodys feelins.i have asked other local bands on this and got the same response that i did,they all would have left,ever earlier then we did.and if anyone has the balls to say shit to my face,bring it on and dont hide behind your fuckin computer.sincerly your gregg paiva(tnc...)
