then I drove to boston
then I drove back to portsmouth

rasing kubrick: I missed their set cause I had to go to my place and drop a key off for carina.
abhorred: I missed them cause my car was down 3 quarts of oil and I had to get more before my engine blew up.
phantom limb: I haven't see the new and improved "short haired" PL yet. Needless to say, no matter how out of shape they are, the set was awsome. probably one of the best I've heard from them yet. the vocals sounded so brutal.
kevorkians angels: so much fun and so many people having drunking head banging fun. actually, so much that armageddon-ann leaned over and asked me if I was ready to get beer spilt on me. they played a standard KA set, but them in the end, I thought they were going to get with 2 new instrumental song.. however, they busted into blitzkrieg bop and everyone was singling along.
cattle decapitation: probably one of the best bands to see live ever. the singer has the sickest live vocals ever (even though he's getting over strep throat), the bass player has the most intense stare concentrating on the songs, the guitar player busts out killer riffs, and the drummer is spot on. I hope that everyone bought a shirt from them. awesome guys to be in the neighborhood and playing a show at a little club. kudos to steph for doing the best thing she's ever done in her life and getting CD to play. at the end of their set, they would have done more songs, but the mic was cutting out. |

That was a fun show, difficult for me to stay still/quiet during Abhorred set, you guys were so fucking good last night! I loved it. I'm at work now and ouch, it hurts this is going to be one of these days. Kevorkians Angel were good too, and that Ramones cover pumped me up.
I didn't pay much attention to the other bands last night, sorry but I was in a talking/hanging out mood more than anything else... |
