i'm freaking out. my band is going into the studio on monday to record 2 songs and my throat is totally fucked up. my allergies have been out of control all week and i have woken up with a sore throat every day. today is the worst and i feel like i am getting a cough.
i need some serious advice from other singers on this board. does anyone know anything i can do to get my voice back in 2 days? i am really losing my mind here. any advice would really be appreciated.
all i can say is drink drink drink all the fluids you can, it's probably too late to go to the docs but that could help too

my co worker says this will work, tea, honey and a shot of whiskey right before you go to bed. never tired it though. not sure how well it can help the throat.
thanks man. that is good advice. i calmed myself down and came to the conclusion that if i can't properly record my vocals on monday, i'll just record rough tracks and redo them when we go in next time to do 2 more songs, which should be sometime next month.
take a belt or a rope of some sort tie one end around your throat and the other end around a pipe beam or tree branch or something then just.....................................................
