i would guess that at your deepest depression and your darkest hour, contemplating ending your life, that some would wish to reduce themselves metaphorically and also literally to the form in which they were born in order to reciprocate the birth process. also, being nude - psychologically shedding your clothing, your outer skin, etc, you lose your earthly identity in a material way and revert into the antithesis of modern world identity.... just personal ideas stemming from various sociological and psychological courses in college...
