JUNIUS PREMIERES TRACK FROM NEW EP
'Days Of The Fallen Sun' pre-order packages available now; eight-track release due Feb. 18



Post-rockers JUNIUS have unveiled the first taste of their upcoming EP, "Days Of The Fallen Sun." The new song "Forgiving The Cleansing Meteor" can now be streamed exclusively via Pitchfork at this location.

Scheduled for release on February 18 in North America via Prosthetic Records, "Days of The Fallen Sun" -- described by the band as a prequel to their 2009 full-length "The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist" -- is the first new music from JUNIUS since the release of their highly acclaimed 2011 Prosthetic debut "Reports From The Threshold of Death." Its release coincides with a European tour alongside Long Distance Calling and Wolves Like Us, after which the group will perform a handful of EP-release shows in the northeast/midwest. Described by Rolling Stone as the "perfect hybrid of Neurosis and The Smiths," JUNIUS co-produced "Days Of The Fallen Sun" with Will Benoit at Radar Studios in Clinton, Conn. The EP features four full-length tracks separated by a series of mesmerizing interludes and can be pre-ordered now from the PROSTHETIC webshop HERE in CD and limited-edition 12" vinyl (bone white or 180-gram black) formats. The vinyl edition includes a download code for not only the EP, but also two exclusive digital bonus tracks -- previously unreleased remixes of "A Universe Without Stars" and "All Shall Float," two songs from "Reports of the Threshold of Death."
