This band Vacant Eyes that I see all over the front page - I checked them out and they sounded decent, especially for a (semi) local band. There's not many funeral doom bands from new england. The recording is a little too over produced IMHO. But I keep reading this shit on the forum and the shit on Facebook and it's a huge turn off to the band. It seems any attention, negative OR positive, is what they seek. Anyways, this shit is lame. I miss the board from the old days.

I think it's safe to say this forum is dead for the most part. These new kiddos have no idea what rttp is, or what it was. It's kinda sad. I urge any lurkers/old posters to come out and post here.

It sounded like you were conflicted about the subjectivity of your own opinion. I need disinfo agent to interpret it for me.

I braced for the worst when I found out Aril was doing the review but I thought he approached it like an adult and credited the strengths of the band where they were due. IMHO.

I was conflicted on what to focus on, but I tried making it as neutral as possible. I've heard you were mad and your friends also called me a jerk. Whatever, criticism is something every band must face. I focused on the positives and negatives, all within one paragraph. Obviously there was a lot more to say, but we are constricted to one big paragraph. Glad you at least read it. Now order a copy, jerk off.

My only gripe was that it felt like you had more to say but were limited in word count. And don't worry, my feelings were never hurt by anything you or anyone else has said about my band. To echo Mike, if you can't handle critique, maybe playing in a band and looking at this forum isn't the best thing for you.
