Scheduled for release on Sept. 17 via Prosthetic Records, "The Scenic Album" -- which also features fellow Berklee alumnus Nathan Navarro on bass and acclaimed drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Necrophagist, Steven Wilson) -- is MARTIN's sophomore studio release, and the follow-up to his 2012 Prosthetic debut, "Live in Boston," which Noisecreep called "a master class in forward-thinking guitar." MARTIN commented on the upcoming album: "The reason why I chose 'The Scenic Album' as a title was because I wanted to write music that is constantly and linearly changing, but has a main overall theme or mood throughout the song -- similar to a movie, where you have scenes that never repeat, but there's always something that you are familiar with."

Originally from Venezuela and now residing in Los Angeles, MARTIN -- whose music is a hybrid of progressive metal, jazz fusion and world music -- moved to America to attend the prestigious Berklee School of Music, where he developed the idea for his 14-string guitar. The instrument combines two left-handed seven-string guitars on one wide neck, which allows him to play both simultaneously. Over the last year, MARTIN has toured extensively throughout both Europe and America.
