New site? Maybe some day.
Something like blabbermouth.net but waay less gay and focused more on real extreme underground music
I simply cannot find anything like this and i ask the ever talented blokes on RTTP to suggest something.
cvltmetal is gay and all those other brooklyn vegan / pitchfork - type sites are shit and nauseating as well
i check out NWN from time to time and thats ok, but was just wondering what else is out there.
thanks |

The Noise Board if you're old and need reassurance that its okay to still be making shitty music and no one thinks your fedora is covering a bald spot
Lambgoat if you ever owned an Underoath windbreaker and could switch iPods with a 16 year old without either of you noticing.
Metal Archives if you ever wondered what an 11 year old thinks about classic death metal albums 2 decades after the fact.
Lemmingtrail if you're unsure about what your opinions on things are and would feel more comfortable being force fed them to you by teenagers
World Moves Fast if you the mid 2000's Dunks collecting fad as "the good old days" |

So far, this is the only worthwhile post I have seen on this site. |
all other metal boards are filled with falses, and lacks the sweaty sock smell that RTTP has, fuck off now a days metal boards. |
get your information from zines, catalog orders, fliers, reviews, interviews, etc etc, not a fucking message board. |
Who the fuck is Veglargh? Some neobm fag? |
Fucking print zines are such a lost art. I bought one in Montreal that's half French/English, at least I get to stay up on french. But there is nothing left. Unrestrained was personally I felt the best mag out there in the past few years. Decibel is corrupt. I've heard great things about Chips and Beer however. |
get your information from cave paintings, carrier pigeons, morse code, scrolls, windtalkers, etc etc, not a fucking nowadays means of communication. |

clearly doesn't know the difference between grand prix and nascar. |
get your information from bathroom stalls, or some fat khed in the schoolyard. |

Chips and Beer is a cool zine. They go all out on their feature sections. The features on Cirith Ungol, Blizzard of Oz, King Diamond, Manilla Road, and New York metal were all extremely informative. Their reviews are often pointless, but i usually hate long winded bullshit reviews. |
I tried to order the first two issues of C&B but issues with Paypal were preventing it. I should see if Armageddon can get some in stock. They had issue number 1 of Heretic-something-or-other on the shelf yesterday when I stopped in, looked like it might be worthwhile |

RIP. I hope kris is doing ok. |

I'm listening to Napalm Death's "Mentally Murdered" ep right now, and I don't thing I could name you a single neobm band. Sounds gay. I can't imagine it's as gay as that band Jolly though, but still gay. |

Gloria Funebris? I grabbed that one too. Hope he does more, although it seems like that issue took forever to finish so I'm not too hopeful there'll be another one soon. |
Thanks a lot RTTPers! - im old fashioned and love my zines but i also like reading shit online that interests me without having to order and wait for a zine to show up in the mail. chips and beer is a fucking fantastic zine!
some of my faves from days gone by were the tales of the macabre zine and the grimoire was always good for a laugh...and of course Slayer zine..
thanks again and post more if you got them |

You don't enjoy reading about Dave Mustaine whining about everything and Geoff Tate talking shit about the other Queensryche dudes? |
I find message boards are not the best place to get your information on underground music. For instance, I came here out of boredom looking to discuss metal and the like, and the first thing I see is people talking about how close-minded someone is for not listening to a band based on a recommendation that compares them to an awful, awful band like 311. Isn't the whole point of reviews to give the reader an idea of what they are in for, since the world is so over-saturated with bands that noone could possibly have time to listen to all of them? Not to mention that before the internet, you couldn't just listen to a band, you had to find out about them in a magazine or flier and decide based on comparisons and reviews whether they were worth your time? |

more people like this please |
Yes, I like this veggie guy |
Veqlargh is more like an English phonetic spelling of my name. In proper Klingon it is spelled Fek'lhr, but I have used that name in the past and people just tended to assume I was some kind of bot with a randomly generated, gibberish name. |
haha yes exactly, though it goes the other way too. i've been burned so many times by people saying "oh dude this sounds like old Enslaved" to have it suck balls. basically if anyone tells me "you'd love it" i tend to immediately dismiss it, because i probably won't. |
Yep, thanks I've witnessed this first hand with Dawn. |
HERE
This was the first place I heard about Peter Steele's brief resurrection from the dead to leave a steaming turd on the doorstep of The Palladium as a housewarming gift for Mass Concerts

Just read shitty tabs for "S.A.T.O." until you're cross-eyes and identifying clandestine illuminati doctrine |

I love how NWN makes Goatservationstevzak look less scary to people now.
Also new URL: [URL='http://www.deathmetal.org/'
Forum maybe, but news is slower than slow is slow. |
^ I check deathmetal.org regularly and I knew the same guy was involved in both sites, but I wasn't sure of the exact relationship between them. Regardless, although dm.org's updates are infrequent, I think their posts are always a good read. |
