I've been up late a lot playing this game. Really entertaining.

I also have played this game ad nauseum. Finally beat it.

the jumping is tedious, but still cool.

Dude....the jump gates are great, but theyre always like 7km away from you....thank God for the fast forward button, unless youre being attacked that is. Mining is also a PAIN IN THE ASS and hardly worth the effort. Get a good tractor beam and just steal shit from ships that you blow up.

Later in the game you'll get a mission to make your own hyper drive, but you have to continually buy or farm supplies to use it.

I just made the hyper drive, but haven't used it yet cause I didn't have the crystals or whatever it needs.

Mining is easy. I can get like 45t in one shot. But right now the Vossk hate me so I just jump to one of their planets and kill them, steal things, and sell their organs. Vossk Organs are $26K a piece.

There are add-ons now I guess.

oh, I don't think I have the hyper drive. I have a k-something drive so the only place I can jump is to the void world.

Once you get the hyper-drive, which is a mission you'll get...at that base where Carla is...you can jump anywhere at anytime, but youll need electronics and void crystals to do it.

I played like 5hrs over the weekend. Last night I couldn't sleep.. all I was thinking about is this game. I basically started churning for money and attack the Vossk, then hop band to a secure base. But I got a ship with a 130t hold and I keep trying to fill it all up. I get to just over 120t and then die. It has happened to me like 5 times in a row.

void crystals are no problem with the warp drive I have and the "best" drill. Finally made it over $1 million credits. I don't want to be at work right now... I just want to go play this.

The hd version is now .99 for the iPad 3. I just bought it which means I spent .99 on the sd version that I just beat. Now I can play through this again, the do Valkyrie for free. Then buy supernova in hd.

loving this game still.. about to start the valkryie stuff.

looks like Escape Velocity (NOVA)...easily one of my fav RPGs growing up but it was only on a Mac so no one knows about it.

this game wasnt really turn based.

I wish they would expand the solar systems and make them more diverse. Like what about suns/moons, A little more diversity on the space stations, etc... There is this place where (loma I think) where all the planets have this beautiful asteroid belt as aback drop where asteroids are packed so tight. I would really love to fly through those.

i've been looking for a good free-form space trader sim like this but more advanced. no classics come to mind...freespace rings a bell, X3 series i have which isn't bad. i gotta get ahold of a good flight joystick. this new game looks pretty good:

ok, I'm in the super nova story, but I decided to start running Organs from Pan to Wolf-Reiser and then Rare animals and implants back to Pan. Got the Rhino ship and equipment 3 Rhonda Blackholes. a day or so later, I had $30million to buy the Karma club! now I need to save up and buy the Dark Angel back and store the Rhino back on my new space station. Then store the Rhonda Blackholes back on the station too for when I need them.
