Think about why people hate Liturgy so much...
They lead the charge for a whole faux-BM movement. Go out of their way to play with everyone but metal bands. Go out of their way to not even promote to metal fans. Go out of their way to dress and act differently from every BM band on the planet. Go out of their way to differentiate themselves from black metal and become it's intellectual superior (fail and turn into an ultimo running joke forever).
Then they then turn around and ask "but why black metals no like us? :C"
Now enter a band that rode the trendy faux-BM wave at just the right time and with just the right amount of chest hair exposed to cash in bigtime on the hardwork of other terrible bands and score a deal with a high profile (lol) record label.
I had never heard your band before today, and I don't even hate it. But if you want to know why no one here likes you, do the math.
Also there is only 1 tr00 BM band on Century Media

You obviously have no idea how the music industry works when a huge label signs a small NH band. I hadn't heard Liturgy until about a year ago. Assume all you guys want, but Liturgy has never influenced me in any way. Frankly, i think they suck and sound even worse live.
I'm 29. As far as our choice of shows, i grew up in a time in this area(99-2002) when shows weren't 4 or 8 of the same type of band on one show. I never understood why someone would want to go see 5 hardcore bands on the same bill...same with metal, or even subgenres of that. So you all might think of it one way, but in booking i see it another. Diverse shows are more fun, and draw a more diverse crowd. And we always try and promote other bands we meet and think are amazing.
assume what you will guys, but ive grown up on metal my whole life. from my first tape i ever bought to my discovering "black metal" when i first heard Emperor at the age of 13. We started this band trying to accomplish one thing, but it ended up being something different...if you hate it, thats cool, if not, even cooler.

All I listen to is Soulfly all day long. Only the first album though. Way better than anything Sepultura ever did. Max definitely peaked on that first Soulfly album for sure. It's really all I ever listen to. My iPod is just filled with that album and consequent remixes I've done of the album in Fruity Loops. Seriously, they were so good on ozzfest 98, totally blew away all the other second stage bands. Which is of course where I was the whole day because the main stage bands were too mainstream.
