Donate money for the band that came from the WEST COAST OF CANADA (you know, really far away) to play this show. And most importantly, grind your fucking head in.

Flyer will come when the lineup is finalized!

yada yada

They just played an amazing looking show in Chicago tonight. Not much longer now.

Not sure how true this is but one of my friends from Oakland said the doods in SBB crashed and totaled their van?

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at May 5,2012 5:39pm
Yeah, they're dropping off their shows in Ohio, Buffalo, VT and Boston.

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at May 5,2012 5:46pm
Yes, they did crash their van. I talked to Bryan on the phone last night and he told me that the Providence show was the earliest one they MIGHT still be able to play, but I haven't gotten official confirmation yet. In any case, they were all fairly shaken up by the incident, but seem to be holding on pretty strong, and I'm really happy that they're going to make it out in one piece.

There will be a donation jar at this show and all the proceeds will go directly to Six Brew Bantha to cover automotive and whatever expenses they're incurring regardless of whether or not they play. I'll report to you guys as soon as I get a definite answer, they were in Indiana last night when I talked to Bryan.

=( good to hear no one was hurt, shits crazy.

The van rolled off the road in Michigan after they blew a tire and apparently flipped over three times. Their gear is mostly fine and the worst injury was their guitar player getting a torn ligament in his leg and he should be walking fine within a couple weeks. The automotive problems are the only real financial burden. I talked to Bryan again on the phone today and it's basically Mark (the guitar player's) call on when to move on again, so I still haven't gotten the official word yet on whether or not they're still playing this show, but it seems like they're in much better shape than originally thought, which is real good.

At this point I have no choice but to assume Six Brew Bantha won't be able to make it. Gowl has taken their spot and I leave you with this update:

"Now for the update I didn't want to make... as some of you have no doubt found out already, on Friday in Michigan, Six Brew Bantha blew a tire on their van while driving down the highway and it rolled into a ditch and flipped over three times. The band is mostly in good spirits, but they are still out in Ohio looking for a new van. Also, the guitar player tore a ligament in his leg and it's been stitched up. His recovery is supposed to take a couple weeks or so. The last thing I'd heard is he tried to stand up today for the first time since getting out of the hospital and nearly passed out from the pain. So with no vehicle, a guitarist in pain, and time running out, unfortunately for right now we have to come to the conclusion that the chance of SBB being able to make this show is unlikely. HOWEVER, this show WILL continue to happen. Gowl from Connecticut is going to play on this evening and I'm excited to have them. Seeing as it's now just a local show, I think charging a cover is pretty pointless, but there will be a donation jar out to benefit the guys in Six Brew as soon as I can get the money to them. The band's gear is mostly fine, the people in the band are mostly fine, the medical expenses have been basically non-existent and they had the foresight to purchase traveler's insurance before going on tour. The biggest monetary expense they're going to have right now is automotive and a new van to continue the tour and go home won't be cheap. So I would strongly encourage anyone who attends to bring a couple bucks to support a band that is in a bit of a bind. IF SIX BREW BANTHA IS ABLE TO MAKE THE SHOW BY SOME CHANCE, THEN IT WILL BE A FIVE BAND SHOW AND THE $5 COVER WILL RE-APPEAR. But unfortunately, we are trying to keep our goals realistic, and let it be known that the band is just as bummed about this development as I am and surely anyone who wanted to see these guys play is, they didn't want to cancel anything but circumstance left them no choice and I support them for being troopers making a long journey from their home to attempt to bring their noise to us!"

I just reserved a pony keg of opa opa porter for this show. Let's see how long it takes SDS to kill 5 gallons of beer. Fuck you.

Hahahaha, fuck yeah! I've got a donation jar ready for Six Brew, any gas money bands need to be paid is just gonna come out of my pocket (not much). No charge to get in now, for a show of locals at a house, what's the fuckin' point? Drink and be merry.
