It was a good time last night at the Block, though one of the smallest turn outs I ever dealt with there as of late.
Pennsylvania Connection had some really heavy, sludge parts. The singer looked like a young, wiggerish Dave Attell but I liked his vocals with the band (he wasn't rapping, sort of yell-talking like The Fellas).
HellBlock6 was killer, spaced out hardcore-doom-stoner-sludge. These guys and girl love the Chopping Block and I think they will be back in August for all you pussies who skipped this show.
Noosebomb played mostly a slower doom set, more of their Grief-styled songs, though those songs still have a different feel which makes them Noosebomb-styled songs I suppose. They played a new song, but I think they played the same new song at All Asia. They were hella good.
Devil to Pay was total stoner rock doom, with some great catchy songs that I recognized from their CD. I believe they may have found the drug alley and were fueled by that experience. These guys may come back as well.
