New site? Maybe some day.

Is the Armageddon store worth a trip from Boston?
Personally I fucking hate Newbury Comics. People from outside this area might think its great, but, they have basically no underground shit, and I hate stores that don't put their metal in a separate section. I don't want to reach around Foreigner albums to get to Fleshgrind, you know what I mean?
Could I show up at Armageddon expecting to buy Ibex Throne and Funerus, and maybe a Rupture Christ CD, and walk out happy?
If so, I'll defintely take a ride to Prov, otherwise.........

when Tower records was in boston, they had a Metal section.
last time i checked newbury had a dedicated metal section.
bullmoose does too. |
the newbury comics in portland also has an extreme metal section.
i sorta remember the boston one not though... boston is gay. |
Yes, go to Armageddon Shop, it is a great place.
i go to armageddon alot, its awsome definitly worth the ride |
Just smoke a fat fucking spliff on the way down. Then you can stand there drooling all over the records like some zombie freak! |
Armageddon shop is the only record store in New England that I try to regularly support. They have some awesome vinyls too. Get your ass down there, you won't be disappointed!! |
Well worth the trip. I got old Dodheimsgard for 8 or 10 bucks and a Carcass shirt for about the same. |
more than worth the trip. |
newbury comics is fucking gay |
newbury comics used to have a metal/hardcore section in shrewsbury. They recentyl added a use metal section, but half the bands are still in the rock/pop used section. |
i am speaking about the braintree one. it's run by emo scenesters, and they only keep emo and rap in stock, and only rap because black people were slaves once and they dont want to discriminate.
PC emo kids are gay. |
I like the newbury comics in Natick. I find good shit int he used section almost everytime I go there. But then again i'm not searching for a specific album or anything. I just browse and find something out of their selection. If I'm looking for a specific title, I usually do mailorder. It's cheaper if you're making a bigger order anyway. |
hell yeah... the Natick one practically gave me a mint condition Morgion - "Solinari" cd for 6 bucks... 6 fucking dollars! thats like an hour of amazing doom for under half the price of a generic, cookie cutter, pop/punk or whatever cd that is like 40 minutes. the newbury in Natick has a metal/hardcore section... but it kinda sucks. |
I have never seen a metal section at a Newbury Comics and I've been to Boston, Natick, Norwood, Shrewsbury, and Burlington. There's definitely some good shit in that store, but you really have to look and most of the time you still come out disappointed.
The best store I've ever been too is Vintage Vinyl in NJ. If you're ever down that way, check it out.
Thanks for the info, I'll definitely make a trip down to Providence.
HAIL NEW ENGLAND DEATH! |
