That's really sad. Sorry for the loss of your friend. That 6 year old is really going to miss his dad. I'm sure friends and family will take care of him, but that really sucks. Very sorry to hear it. |

Nothing fun, but there's plenty to find humorous about it; just that there's a lot more that's horrible about it. If you could hear some of the jokes my mother and I swapped back and forth over my father's body last year, you'd probably faint. Personally, when I'm washing a corpse, I need to crack wise a bit; the only other option is to crumble. |

people grieve in different ways. but its kinda like a freedom of speech type deal. you have every right to joke about someones death but friends and family of that person have the same right to be upset and offended. that's just my two cents.

Good point. I probably should've taken my history of cracking wise into consideration before I posted. I lost a nut to testicular cancer. I could do an HBO stand up special and have people rolling on the floor at this point.

I guess the important thing to remember is exactly what FIMS posted, but also that humor can help people get through, as long as it's not mean spirited. You never know who might be watching/listening/reading, so it's good to proceed with caution.
