CHRIS FORGUES (AKA Kites, Daily Life) brings his sick solo synth project MARK LORD back to Apop. Performing from the murky underdwelling, he'll certainly be plummeting us into the depths with him.
Support comes from ANGELS IN AMERICA(Ecstatic Peace, eg.), our own hyperkinetic HALF GAY, and the local whose talent threatens to topple every touring acts spotlight, GHOST ICE.

Come back tomorrow night for an evening of blatant anti-intellectualism. THE COATHANGERS bring jangly snotty punk to it's most brace-faced as the girls chime out on boobies and general nonsense. Playing for the first time in Apop, ESCALADE's music-made-for-the-ass-and-the-ass-only will start the night right, followed by the brain degradations of PINK SOCK and the mind-melding cult ritual that is SKAREKRAU RADIO. This night leaves you free from the heavy lifting of putting forethought to action. Duh, It's FUN!

Apop Movie Night at the Mini-Moolah: PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE


Then, as we do on every first Thursday of the month, APOP MOVIE NIGHT takes over the Moolah Lounge. This evening brings glam for theater fags: PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE.

show on the 18th, we'll only be hosting two other movie nights in August.

On the 11th we'll show Takashi Miike's musical THE HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS, which transformed murder into bubblegum! And closing out the month a classic piece of sci-fi garbage from Donald G Jackson, HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN, featuring our favorite wrestling star actor "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

As always, Apop Movie Nights are FREE! They start at 9 PM.
