seeking friends and getting into music when its readily available on demand and on youtube. you guys are so hip. look at how easy it is to get into metal and take 5 seconds of time to not pay for an album and then buy a shirt about it because you want to fit in.
i cant tell you how many times ive been over some "metalheads" house and seen about 10 cds when they claim to be all about metal. give me a break hipster. if you like the music, participate in the music for yourself, not pose with band shirts of bands you dont even have an album of.

i call foul

there's plenty of young dudes that actually pay attention, do their homework, and don't try and "redefine" genres they're not even fully versed in in the first place; conversely, I've run into a million dudes prior to 2005 (or 2000, even) that do it all wrong and ruin it for everyone.

"metalhead" - lol you talk like some idiot kid who just got into metal yourself. go do blog about it.

toggletoggle post by Metalhead at Jun 8,2011 3:05pm
the number of hipster fans that buy shirts rather than albums far outweigh those who read up and pay attention. you should know this

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jun 8,2011 3:06pm

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Jun 8,2011 3:06pm
so wait, if i buy albums, and know stuff about the type of metal i like.... THEN am i a real metalhead? Or do i also have to hate the popular bands?

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Jun 8,2011 3:07pm
why worry about it? metal has been around 30 + years and suffered through many attempts to water it down throughout that time. maybe instead of complaining about hipsters you should spend your time educating younger kids about what good music to listen to so they dont fall into the "hipster" trap.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jun 8,2011 3:08pm
You have to wear denim vests and pretend you were listening to metal in 1985.

toggletoggle post by Metalhead at Jun 8,2011 3:09pm
just know that northern elite is here to stay and all you kiddos can go suck a hipster dry.

Listening to metal in 1985 is totally hipster. And have you seen that admiral? I am beginning to suspect you might be in the hipster closet.

lol discography

trick question - if Bathory had more than one album when you got into it... you know the rest.

toggletoggle post by AMOROK666 at Jun 8,2011 4:01pm
Lol l forgot hammerheart and blood fire death aren't cool.

toggletoggle post by DestroyYouAlot  at Jun 8,2011 4:07pm
lol, I mean, as in, "if you got into metal when there even was more than one Bathory record"

you get the idea

toggletoggle post by AMOROK666 at Jun 8,2011 4:09pm

used to buy metal and hardcore albums all the time in high school about 8-10 years ago at pure pop records and downtown discs in vermont, not to say i haven't sold about half of them for drugs/booze but since ive been out id rather just download them because i don't have the money to just go out and buy albums every week....

looking back i wish i wouldn't have sold as many as i did..same goes for movies.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jun 8,2011 5:08pm
I didn't read this faggot thread, but people who buy shirts usually put more money in the pockets of bands than the purchase of an album would
