I agree with bodily autonomy as a starting point for freedom, kind of ridiculously obvious but it really explains it all. Don't inseminate an incubator owned by someone else and then claim you own the incubator. Doesn't work, no matter how much you say you love life or even want to save your own potential baby, it's all besides the point; if the mom doesn't have the right of bodily autonomy, then surely a fetus feeding on her without such autonomy certainly can't claim the same sorts of basic rights. It's why pro-life fails as a legal argument, period, whether one agrees with it morally or not: the very act of usurping the woman's choice undermines any rights the fetus could have to justify such a usurping in the first place, because if an autonomous life form like the mother has no freedom or rights, how can it simultaneously be asserted such rights exist for a non-autonomous life form like the fetus and thus must be protected? Legally, it falls apart even on its own logic.

The fact is that it's up to a balding man whether his head is shiny or has a rug, whether his dick is au natural or needs viagra, or whether his bowels are full of veggies or pork chops, and it's up to a woman whether she prefers womb or tomb at any given moment. We tend to suffer less as men the sooner we accept this basic fact, as it's better not to fill ourselves with false expectations of guaranteed consulting rights to allow additional unnecessary suffering for ourselves like this ridiculous assclown in South Carolina.
