Ragnarok Records has set the release date and is now taking pre-orders for the debut album of FACES OF BAYON, titled "Heart of the Fire". This monster of an album will be unleashed on June 28th 2011. It will come as a 6 panel digipack limited to 1000 copies and is comprised of 6 tracks clocking in at over 50 minutes. The album was recorded live in the "cave of bayon" and mixed by the band. Mastering was done by Roger Lavallee. Cover artwork was painted by Hillarie Jason. The band is a three piece from Worcester, MA featuring Matt Smith on Vocals and Guitar (ex Warhorse, ex Engorged), Ron Miles on Bass (ex Scattered Remnants, ex Twelfth of Never), and Matt Davis (ex Twelfth of Never, Labyrintheory). This is the bands first album, focusing loosely on the concept of Lucifer's damnation. The album is also dedicated to Matt Davis, who died unexpectedly in January 2011. Mike Brown is now playing drums for the band live and on all future recordings. Prepare to be crushed under the sheer weight of this unholy heaviness!
