thats cool, but as terence said its the brutal domination tour date. is there any chance this could get moved? a lot of the poeple in the bands playing will probably want to go to the show (ie me)

naw thats gonna be that date i wanted the 2nd but it was booked as i was gonna promote it at the suffocation show on the 26th i'd do the 16th but mikee gets back from vacation the day b4 and we won't be practicing while he's gone

yeah, but the trick with this one is that terence is getting a real dm tour @ club marque, and i just figured it might be a good idea to support the touring acts especially since its at a rented hall.

in my opinion theres no reason to compete with an important dm show (especially since the bands and hall was paid for) with another dm show that could affect the draw.

i gave up giving a shit what other bands were doing for shows when i posted that we were looking for shows(several times) and no one offered us anything(xcept joe) so now i'm gonna take care of #1 and and if i can help a few bands that i respect in the process cool

You guys can't get onto every show, there are too many bands.
Trying to compete with other shows is a bad idea, the scene is too small right now. So even if you don't care about what other bands are doing, you should care that your show will do much worse then it normally would and this Compound place may not want you back if your show does bad.

As far as a 'scene' goes, Terence has money riding on his tour and nobody should do anything to slight his efforts to take tours away from Scott Lee, or just bringing tours to MA in general.

i have been posting for a few months that WE NEED SHOWS DURING THESES MONTHS and no one offered anything (xcept you joe) then this person from the compound told me i can have a show with who ever i want on it (you don't need to hit me in the head with a tire tool twice) i took her up on the offer the date i wanted was taken the other wasn't practical to do cause we wouldn't get to practice before it.
the date i chose however is still sorta in the shadow of our show with SUFFOCATION on the HARDER FASTER FEST so there could still be a buzz from the exposure we will have got from that being that its gonna be promoted on waaf and shit i wanted to keep it sorta close and this was the date i came up with if it is a problem for anyone who i wanted to play let me know so i can find somone else (for every 1 band on a show theres 5 or more who would like your spot)

Jim I seriously cant believe what you are saying. Thats fine if you want this show as the same day as the Brutal Domination Tour but I, along with everyone else who has responded, dont really think that 2 death metal shows competing is a good idea.

I'm sorry if I didnt offer your band a spot on the Brutal Domination Tour, but when you outright say that you dont give a shit about other bands, my friend, that doesnt really look to good.

Me and Joe have worked hard to not set up shows on the same day, same goes with Prophetless, and anyone else who books shows.

As far as when you post about looking for shows, every band has to work to get onto a show, you cant really expect all the bookers to jump right on top of you.

Joe, once again thank you. I have a lot of money riding on this tour, and any people i can get to come would be awesome. I guess I would just have to deal with it then if there was another show booked the same night.

don't mean to butt in on this... but I think it's pretty crazy to expect that out of everyone putting on shows that the show dates are never going to clash. It's going to happen august 9th, and it will happen again. We should just hope that each band has a big enough following that it won't effect things much as far as turnout.

As for the BOE show... they are brutal, but they play in MA often so people are likely to go to the Brutal domination show to see bands they probably won't see again anytime soon... BUT NOT everyone obviously. BOE has a following, and as does shroud....I'm sure this will work out fine. It's not like these shows are down the st from the eachother.
