Anyone else playing this right now?

I picked up when it came out. Best looking console game I've seen a loooonng time, and my TV kind of sucks. Gameplay is fun and challenging at times, and multiplayer is a blast. Highly recommend it if you're into FPS.

Only problem I'm having right now, which is mentioned in reviews, is that there are definitely weird holes in the plot of some reason.

Never finished the first one. Good concept, GREAT looking, but towards the middle/end it got unbearable. (The developers stated that even though it won game of the year and got tons of awards/sales, something like 75% of the people that bought it never finished.)

I'll try the second one when it's old and in the bargain bin.

Definitely worth it. I didn't play the first one, but from what I understand it's waaaaaaaaaay improved over the original.

It's cool how you can either balls out blast away everyone in a huge firefight, or go stealth and sleek-like if you choose. Game doesn't really force you one way or the other, except in certain situations.

That's what killed #1 for me - they gave you all this flexibility and an open world, then after you escape the evil aliens' mountain they stick you on rails and hand you a gay escort mission you HAVE to blast your way through. I couldn't get past it after a billion tries, because til then I'd used stealth and strategy and sucked at combat.

Didn't care much for the first and looked up a bit on the new one, gameplay video didn't turn me on.

Might pick this up today as everyone seems to love it. The multiplayer demo was fun as shit.

Other MP maps are super fun. Controls/interface was tweaked a little from the demo too--for the better.

I wrote out a long thing about how I hate Crytek and all major iterations of their CryEngine and gave reasons, but I just summarize it with this: They suck and I hope their kids all grow up retarded.

I will say that Crysis 2 does look impressive, visually. But that hasn't stopped EVERY other title they've ever released from being a humungous resource hog and full of bugs and shitty gameplay.

I don't know, as far as I've read none of these problems have surfaced. I just want to shoot shit, get stoned and have it look real perty on my huge hdtv. Damnit this day can't end soon enough.
