Damn, wish I could go. I have kids so I can't do shit. Although my kids are 13 & 15 years old. What is the age limit!!?? I think the last time I saw Motorhead was at least 10 years ago. :(
All my kids love Motorhead. Wish I didn't forget about this show. FFFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!
Wanted to go but I've got F-word N-word band practice. The original plan was to get drunk and play Tower of Power covers. Wish we were sticking to it. Fuck shitty black metal.
After trying a number of chocolate stouts and liking none of them, my friend had to convince me to try Young's. I was not disappoint. They do have a pretty good beer menu otherwise though, how can you go wrong when Three Philosophers and La Fin du Monde are on the menu?
Yeah, Clutch was fucking great. Setlist according to setlist.fm (which seems accurate):
Gravel Road
The Soapmakers
Burning Beard
50,000 Unstoppable Watts
Texan Book Of The Dead
Pure Rock Fury
Profits of Doom
Cypress Grove
The Elephant Riders
Motorhead was pretty great, but the setlist was lacking.
1 We Are Motorhead
2 Stay Clean
3 Get In Line
4 Metropolis
5 Over The Top (AWESOME)
6 One Night Stand
7 Rock Out
8 The Thousand Names of God
9 I Got Mine
10 I Know How To Die
11 The Chase Is Better Than The Catch
12 In The Name Of Tragedy
13 Drum Solo
14 Just 'Cos You Got The Power
15 Going To Brazil
16 Killed By Death
17 Ace Of Spades
Encore:18 Overkill
Motorhead just played Jimmy Kimmel and Lemmy seemed to be tired from the night before. He changed some of aces of spades lyrics, but still awesome, it is MotorheaD

Maybe I just feel entitled because no matter how far Slayer fell from their prime, their set list was always the same 12 songs or so with 1 random from Show No Mercy, and the newish songs conservatively worked in out of obligation.
My last shred of hope for this miserable set was that they were going to come out for their "spontaneous" encore and play No Class (my favorite song in the fucking world). Overkill is a great song, but the fact that it was my consolation prize for Motorhead being too good to play the rest of their classics pissed me off bigtime. If I had a D battery I would have tossed it from the balcony during one of their stupid rehearsed stage antics.
My favorite part of the show though was watching some retard get kicked out of his $50 seats (seats at a motorhead show = raviolis) for throwing beer off the balcony 2 songs in.
My ticket was for the second floor but I didn't think of using the elevator. They let me downstairs about a third of the way through motorhead's set. That second floor is fucking useless. If you stand at the back, you might be able to see something but you can't hear shit, and if you go to the sides, you can hear but not see anything. The third floor would be better if it didn't have theater seating. I had no idea there were seats there until I went up to take a piss.
I've grown to really hate that venue. I'm just happy this show wasn't during red sox season because paying $576968643267 to park and dealing with idiot sox yokels isn't worth it.
The third floor sucked. I really don't know where the House of Jews gets off selling standing room tickets up there. There are maybe 80% fewer viewable standing room spots than there are tickets sold for that level. If you don't get there when the doors open like a complete loser then you have zero chance at getting a spot by the railing. I had to exploit my girlfriend being 5 feet tall to weasel our way into a sympathy spot.
Aside from the fact that the sound is pretty good, and the GA floor slightly sloped so I can see from the back, I severely dislike the HOB.
Beer are to goddamn expensive, layout sucks, parking blows, and I don't like whole "If you look or sound drunk, get in this line. If not, go right ahead".
