We've finally begun work on a full-length Scaphism album and the recording of drum tracks will be beginning shortly. Does anyone here know of a good studio or a good engineer to record guitar tracks with? I almost never obtain the tone I'm looking for in the studio due to engineers telling me to turn down, or just not knowing how to record heavy fucking guitars. Anyone out there have any recommendations?

Rob Gil from Infinite Descent is awesome. He had some involvement in Arsis' We Are the Nightmare. I've been told he can be pricey but the stuff I've heard from him is great quality.
