"Early Graves singer Makh Daniels was reportedly killed in a van accident early this morning in Oregon. According to news reports, the van driver fell asleep while traveling on Interstate 5 in Central Point, Oregon around 5:30 am. The van veered off the highway shoulder and subsequently rolled, ejecting one passenger (presumbly Daniels) and injuring two others. The vehicle apparently contained members of both Early Graves and The Funeral Pyre."

I just got up off the ground and brushed the dirt, glass and blood off my body. I just drank a redbull and I'm ready to get back on tour. Damn driver. Bout time we fire his ass. He's always falling asleep behind the wheel. Does anyone think that pic of me makes me look like the singer of Hootie?
Driving sleepy is worse than drunk driving. I passed out and hit a pole a few years ago. I got off lucky without a scratch. My truck was MANGLED. Completely totalled. Shit's no joke.
holy shit. that's probably the thing that scares me the most about the idea of a tour. when you push yourself to the limit shit like this happens. it's so easy to fall asleep at the wheel, like MSD said above, i've had easier times driving shit-faced. one time on a drive from Portland ME to Buffalo NY i fell asleep in the right lane and woke up in the left breakdown lane, thank fuck for rumble strips.
As much as this sucks, I must make note that reports say none of the 9 passengers were wearing seat belts, which really isn't a good idea. Maybe instead of "Click it or ticket" traffic law enforcement should adopt "Click it or die."
I'm guessing that's true for like 10% of crashes. The other 90%... you're dead. I had my seatbelt on when I rolled my truck. I would have been dead if I wasn't buckled in.
yeah, but the likeliness of dying FROM the seatbelt is very very very much smaller than from without. and yes, i'm pretty sure they've done the crash test dummy tests to prove that.

my date to my junior prom died the next morning asleep at the wheel on her way home from the hotel we partied in after....
Also in highschool, my buddies mom come out side at like 6am for work and found him passed ut at the wheel with the car in drive, engine still running with his head on the steering wheel.

Yeah, this is definitely making me think twice. Whenever I drove I strapped in, but whenever I was asleep or just hanging out in the back I didn't even consider it.

well the van obviously flipped and crushed judging by the pictures, it doesnt look like they actually hit anything. he probly woke up, slammed the breaks and swerved which wouldnt be a big deal in a normal vehicle... read the stats, happens all the time... i cant actually tell if that van is a 15pass but eitherway, fucking lame..
Sucks to hear what happened, i met the dude in JP when they played at the Midway, seemed like a cool dude, awesome stage performance tho and i bought a kick ass Early Graves t-shirt with a church burning in the front and now i will remember him every time i wear it R.I.P.
