Why play around goes from $50 to $200. What the fuck? I just bought the lp for $15 instead. Cheaper and will sound better. I hope it gets re-released and these fucks don't get a inflated penny for their copies. Not that somebody will pay $200 for it anyways.

you are wrong. the reason that they cost so much is cause of the record label, profile. blame them. if it were up to bob, he would sell it for $10 like it should be. Like he has mentioned here plenty of times, profile will not let the rights go at a price that he could afford and they won't re-issue.

i've had a downloaded copy of it for years, but at some point you want to have a real copy of something you like alot.

We spent the last 3 or 4 years looking into the legalities of us re-releasing our stuff. It ain't happening. Why Play Around? is actually the most hopeless of the bunch; Profile Records and all of their recordings were sold to A&M years ago and they have no idea what they own and plans for any of it. It is so fucking easy to throw stuff up in iTunes... but they can't be bothered. The label that owns Suicide Notes told us that they would offer it digitally 'someday'.

Share it, burn it, tape it, trade it, Torrent it, with my blessings. (Just don't be a douche and sell CD-Rs).

great tip, thanks so much.

Sadly, the amount of money we have spent on lawyers trying to research the rights to that album, with the hopes of re-releasing it, is so much more than what we would actually take in from selling it if we were successful...

s'cuse me, while I hang myself

He didn't say why they were expensive, just that they were. So he's not wrong.
