Vektor is progressive sci-fi thrash metal if you're not familiar with 'em... very good, probably the most critically acclaimed if not widely popular band of the new wave of thrash.

Oh hey what's going on here?

toggletoggle post by Lich_King at Jun 22,2010 11:54am
AND, since I'm remiss in not advertising our thrash mastery, have a throatful of us.

...and a bump.

Pizza-flavored beer and Pauly Shore lingo, that's how we roll in the retro neo-thrash scene mannn

Ex-Bonestorm guys. Yosh had to point out the name connection to me last week... I LOL'd. Can't wait to see them.

8 PM on a Sunday is lovely

toggletoggle post by bloblovesmusic at Jul 11,2010 5:08pm
You guys know I'd be there if I could, but Composted is just too hard to resist (well sorta hehe).

Either way, have a great show! Thrash hard for me!

toggletoggle post by BSV at Jul 12,2010 1:10am
wow, Vektor is fucking fantastic!
Thrillhouse is a true delight as well.

WELL PLAYED GENTLEMEN, WELL PLAYED.

toggletoggle post by josh_hates_you  at Jul 12,2010 1:26am
lich king - $200 for a fucking logo?
thrillhouse - Fucking awesome.
skullhammer - As usual.
Vektor - Fuck yeah.

toggletoggle post by Samantha at Jul 12,2010 6:32am
Awesome show was awesome. The movies outside were great, too. There is nothing quite like a night of thrash metal combined with gore movies being projected onto a nearby building. Did anyone catch the part where the guy got thrown into a meat grinder? Ha ha ha!

toggletoggle post by MetalThursday  at Jul 12,2010 7:31am
Thanks to those who attended. Hope everyone picked up a Vektor CD or shirt.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Jul 12,2010 9:30am
Vektor and Thrillho were soo goddamn tight like tigers. And more bars need to learn that projecting Kurt Russell onto outside walls = CASH.

toggletoggle post by Lich_King at Jul 12,2010 10:49am
Heyyy, the guy who couldn't afford a professionally designed logo was there. You should have said hi, I could have told you we charge $12 for a t-shirt and watched you start biting people in consternation.

toggletoggle post by MetalThursday  at Jul 12,2010 11:01am
I always wanted a t-shirt that said "Butt-Wizards" on it, and last night my dream came true thanks to Thrillhouse.

You're welcome. And I did. But I left it in someone's car... :-\

It was kinda fun going back & forth between this show & another, but I definitely wish I coulda seen all the bands. What I saw / heard was over way too fast!

toggletoggle post by ValkyrieScreams  at Jul 12,2010 11:36am
Oh, and movies on the wall outside Ralph's every Sunday this summer? Fuck yeah!
I've never heard it so quiet out there...

Make sure "someone" gives you back the CD - it's fuckin' good!

Lich King is easily one of the most boring, dry and tinty bands I've ever seen or heard. Funny how many people there hated their arrogant style and how pissy they got about it on stage.
I can't believe how lame "Boston Thrash" is. One of the best of the newer Thrash bands destroyed that place and not a single person from the city made the effort to support them. THE BOSTON SCENE IS SO AMAZING.

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Jul 12,2010 11:59am
you all know I would've totally been there last night if it hadn't been for Composted!

I'm super bummed that I missed this one!

Chris, bring back Thrillhouse so I can experience the awesomeness of them!

toggletoggle post by Lich_King at Jul 12,2010 12:00pm
Well there was that other big show. Not even Wren made it out.

And... "tinty?" That's a new one.

toggletoggle post by BSV at Jul 12,2010 12:13pm
I doubt that thy Boston Thrash Legions went to a 8 band Death Metal show. Just goes to show that scene cares more about the fashion and free beer rather than the driving 45 minutes west to support an amazing band.
Yeah "Tinty" is basically applied when you have scooped mids or just not enough substance in the tone to make everything hard hitting. No definition in you guys guitar tone, such a barrage of riffs without clarity just falls short of being memorable and catchy all at once. It's okay, you lads still are quite young. That's why we all laugh when you think $200 is reasonable.

toggletoggle post by Adjective NLI at Jul 12,2010 12:15pm
I believe the term is "Tinny"

toggletoggle post by BSV at Jul 12,2010 12:19pm
nope, been saying Tinty fah yeeas guy, yeeeas.

toggletoggle post by Lich_King at Jul 12,2010 12:22pm
$200's totally reasonable for a professional logo. I mean, sure, you can have some dude whip one up on a cocktail napkin for $30, but... good luck with that.

But yeah, our amp sound is for shit.

toggletoggle post by BSV at Jul 12,2010 12:29pm
Not when you get 5 different quotes from artists with mucho street cred and they're all under $75.
If spending $200 is considered professional these days, then I think you lads need to maybe pump some of that into a new rig instead. Just trying to help!

Tinty is the name of not one but two of my favorite local entrepreneurs. Tintie Brasso runs the Uptown Menagerie and Tintie Lavendre is the proprietor of the Trap Door Bordello.
