Vektor is progressive sci-fi thrash metal if you're not familiar with 'em... very good, probably the most critically acclaimed if not widely popular band of the new wave of thrash.
Awesome show was awesome. The movies outside were great, too. There is nothing quite like a night of thrash metal combined with gore movies being projected onto a nearby building. Did anyone catch the part where the guy got thrown into a meat grinder? Ha ha ha!
Heyyy, the guy who couldn't afford a professionally designed logo was there. You should have said hi, I could have told you we charge $12 for a t-shirt and watched you start biting people in consternation.
Thanks to those who attended. Hope everyone picked up a Vektor CD or shirt.
You're welcome. And I did. But I left it in someone's car... :-\
It was kinda fun going back & forth between this show & another, but I definitely wish I coulda seen all the bands. What I saw / heard was over way too fast!

Make sure "someone" gives you back the CD - it's fuckin' good!

Lich King is easily one of the most boring, dry and tinty bands I've ever seen or heard. Funny how many people there hated their arrogant style and how pissy they got about it on stage.
I can't believe how lame "Boston Thrash" is. One of the best of the newer Thrash bands destroyed that place and not a single person from the city made the effort to support them. THE BOSTON SCENE IS SO AMAZING.
Well there was that other big show. Not even Wren made it out.
And... "tinty?" That's a new one.

I doubt that thy Boston Thrash Legions went to a 8 band Death Metal show. Just goes to show that scene cares more about the fashion and free beer rather than the driving 45 minutes west to support an amazing band.
Yeah "Tinty" is basically applied when you have scooped mids or just not enough substance in the tone to make everything hard hitting. No definition in you guys guitar tone, such a barrage of riffs without clarity just falls short of being memorable and catchy all at once. It's okay, you lads still are quite young. That's why we all laugh when you think $200 is reasonable.
$200's totally reasonable for a professional logo. I mean, sure, you can have some dude whip one up on a cocktail napkin for $30, but... good luck with that.
But yeah, our amp sound is for shit.

Not when you get 5 different quotes from artists with mucho street cred and they're all under $75.
If spending $200 is considered professional these days, then I think you lads need to maybe pump some of that into a new rig instead. Just trying to help!
Tinty is the name of not one but two of my favorite local entrepreneurs. Tintie Brasso runs the Uptown Menagerie and Tintie Lavendre is the proprietor of the Trap Door Bordello.
