Huh, well I don't think it's a fad. It's just a style of music I don't boner for anymore. I still write tech-ish stuff, I just think the kind of stuff DB is doing is more for show than for musicality. |

I guess it depends on what your definition of technical is. Like MK pointed out, I still love stuff like Gorguts and Martyr. I just tend to kind group them as "progressive" music in my mind. Meaning, that any technical-ness is just a vehicle for good music and not for the sake of technical-ness. |

Don't forget Hour of Penance. They are some of the most technically catchy BDM bands out there. Deeds of Flesh too. |
