What are good games on psp? Also, isn't there a trick where you can run *gasp* emulators on it and play NES, Sega, etc?

i got one a while back and had a lot of emulators running on it, GBA with the Mother 3 fan translation mostly, the battery crapped out and i haven't got a new one. but i had an older version and the hack was different...not sure what you have to do now.

The new Metal Gear game came out. Getting amazing reviews. The three GTA games are all awesome on the PS2 and DS, so I'd imagine they would be good on the PSP. Uh, God Of War game, Twisted Metal, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (get this, fucking incredible on the PS2) and some others.

if you don't get Castlevania: Rondo of Blood then you are the dumbest motherfucker alive. not only does it have that sweet game... but it has Symphony of the Night on the disc too! not only that, but you can play as Maria in SotN which you could only do on the Sega Saturn version of the game... which like... no one bought over here.

Monster Hunter for PSP is awesome. get that.

FF tactics, Lunar, and Valkyie Profile: Lenneth. get those. VP especially.

also, make sure you get your fucking hands on IQ Mania! it's basically an Intelligent Qube port. Intelligent Qube is the BEST fucking puzzle game that no one gave a shit about when the playstation originally came out.


as for the rest of the titles? mostly garbage. playstaton 1 emulation is sweet. do that.

i would say Tactics Ogre and Tales of Phantasia would be the best playstation rpgs... but they were technically SNES rpgs

It might come eventually. A lot of PS1 games are coming to the PSN.
Also check out Half-Minute Hero. I feel like you might appreciate that game.

I would say that god of war is a must.

Tactics Ogre is awesome but Tales of Phantasia has such a shitty story/plot. That gan had so much hype and it failed IMO. The battle system was okay.

GTA is the best game on PCP. Holy shit it's intense. That is if you don't want to play "tackle the cop."

I like the DS better but i dunno....the psp seems to have been improving....DS actually makes games that are meant to be played hand held.

I had the game Monster Hunter and played it for an hour then decided that everything was wayyyy to small to see anything and that it was 3rd person but you had to control the character with the D-pad as i remember..........

DS gets a lot of good games that you can definitely pick out and see everything clear......loved the castlevania games so far for the DS

Alright so I got the Castlevania game and so far so good. But Spaldino, I need to unlock Rondo of Blood? WTF is that?Valkrie Profile is on it's way.
The GTA game is fun as always, but I'm quite surprised at the Need For Speed game.

Perhps the most difficult game I have (outside of fft) is Warhammer Squad Command. DYA would love this damn game. It gets real difficult.
The Lemmings game is fun, and I got some Sega game called Alien Sydrome that's not bad. I've got a Metl Gear game but it's a card game? Sucks. Need the real one.

Valkyrie Profile Lenneth seemed like it was going to be awesome but something doesn't sit right with me. I like to take my time in RPGs and build my characters up. This game has one giant time constraint on it which doesn't really tickle my fancy. I didn't play this for PSX when it came out.. the graphics and music are great but I'm not liking the style and the battle system is a little avantgarde. I'll play through it but it's already on my "meh" list.
It reminds me why I don't really like neo JRPGs. Shitty American voice acting and cheesy anime underlying themes. This isn't all that bad per se, but the time contraint is a huge turn off.

Starwars Battlefront: Elite Squadron is fucking fun but so easy. I'm enjoying the castlevania game but it's getting difficult at times. Not a problem.

I'm going to have to look at the castlevania. I juts beat LBP.
