i just wanted to say that i'm no longer going to be doing it. It started as something Aaron (the_reverend) and i did together. Of course he's been doing it for years and when we started dating he thought it would be a cool idea to do it together and something to do for the local scene...something other than his site..of course my site has other types of music and doesn't fit a specific genre like this one..and also, no matter how fast or slow i post my pics after he does, only a few bands if any, actually look at them...and for that reason i'm going to stop spending time and efforts doing it.

Having said that, if you WANT me to take photos, just ask and i will if i can.

the only reason i posted this is for those who actually want me to take pics, so they'd know and if they want me to, just let me know.

My site is not focused like this one, i have a bit of everything on it...the message board is different too, i try mixing things up, and a lot of people are open minded...but some are not and i figured some of the bands on here didn't even want to be on it..and that's fine, i just figured i'd stop doing it.

your site is really good carina, it just needs touching up though. i know how busy you get sometimes and how tired you get, but one reason that i'm always on this site and not on defyunlearn as much is because aaron updates the site as soon as he gets home from a show. right on the front page are links to the pics of the bands he shot that night. it's very easy and conveniant. i'm sure you might think you wouldn't wanna do that because you'd just be copying aaron and u'd wanna do things your way i'm sure, but his methods have obviously worked. as far as your forum, i dont know what else you could do there. i mean i posted once on there how people hardly post in your forum but it didn't help in increasing traffic, so i'm out of ideas. i just hope u don't give up photography or the site because you're an excellent photographer and the site definately has lots of potential.

I told Carina I think one of the reasons her site may not get as many hits as Aaron is because Aaron's site is much more niche then deyunlearn.com is
But when the bands don't even look at her pictures, well thats just silly.

Carina I hope you will still come to my shows and snap some photos, also I still want you to do some Disengaged band photos as well, next time your schedule and theirs coincide.

And if you are definately not going to take photos at shows anymore, then I hope you still come to the shows because everyone enjoys your company for sure.

oh and kalopsia, aaron programmed my site...that's why i have something on my main age to enter updates, like he has..it's his idea. i do not know anyone else who posts photos as quick as he does and i really do not think that is it. i have links to newest pics on my site too, but my site is not a metal site. It's nothing about copying aaron

Just to reiterate, you photography is really solid and weather or not you update your site constantly you should keep up the photos.

that said, I'd like it if you shot pictures at the hoss show on may 29th with my band, anodyne, and aganihms last set..

once again, thanks for the kind words, and like i said, i'm not quitting, i really enjoy doing it, i just didn't want to do it if no one was going to look. When i shoot big shows, people look, but for some of the local shows...getting 0 views after letting the bands know pics are up shows me they don't care and if they don't want to be on the stie or whatever, i won't bother. That's all i meant.

but about combining the sites...the closest to that is aaron being the "programmer" of my site and some of his pics are on it .. when one of his fave bands came to town and he had never seen them live i got us tix and passes ..but it's not metal

this is a metal site and myne is not..
it's fun that we each have our own thing..
plus he prides himself on doing everything by himself and i commend him for that!! =)
