Greg Mann has decided to part ways with The Summoned to pursue school and other life endeavors. The split was mutual and we wish him the best of luck in what he does. We're all still good friends and we thank him for the time he's spent with us and The Summoned. Greg will be finishing up the rest of the shows we have in May and will still be doing bass on our debut full length "If Only Minds Could Paint Pictures" so we'll be looking for a new bassist starting in the month of July.

With that, these are some of the requirements we're looking for in a new bassist:

• Must have decent equipment (half stack with a good sounding head)
• A steady income to pitch in on band expenses
• Available to practice multiple times a week
• Must have show/tour experience
• Be over the age of 21
• 4 years experience minimum
• Must be open minded in the music writing process
• Must have transportation
• Recording experience
• Dedicated and self motivated
• Willing to move forward with the band

Yeah, this time is for sure though. I just don't have the drive anymore to make music the top priority of my life. With that said I am starting another band and we already have a near complete lineup, so I'll still be around, but only for funsies.

Yeah, I'm 22 years old, making shit for money, and reality has slapped me hard across the face over the past few months. I'm still definitely gonna be playing in bands because it's what I love to do, but I feel I need to get my life straightened out and get some schooling done and shit before anything.
