I'm really sick of this new wave of "progressive" metal bands. Stop your dweedilly-fucking-wee-wee wanking and make music that has some substance to it. Clones of clones of clones... you all literally sound the same. But hey, the kidz like the Meshuggah moshes with the weedle-dweedle-deedlely-doo tap-a-lap-a-ding-dong over the top, so just keep churning out the assembly-line metal brah.

One of the reasons I have started to move deeper into more bands that have a style that could never become mainstream (among metalheads that is)
Folk and symphonic metal turned their backs on me as we now have the jig/pirate metal era and the we-need-moar-stringed-instruments-metal era. |

Seems to be a growing problem as of late. These bands are getting recognized and gaining popularity and I just don't understand it. |

Stray From the Path is good, and I don't think even they consider themselves progressive or technical, at least i hope they don't. other than that the rest of the label is shit among shit. |
