The Star Rover by Jack London. Absolutely the greatest book i hav ever read. the writing style is fucking amazing and the concept is genius. it came out in 1915. in the past couple months i have polished off a good 11 books.

Magic the Gathering: Onslaught cycle books 1-3
Magic the Gathering: Mirrodin cycle books 1-2 (3rd comes out in May)
The Star Rover by Jack London
The Color Of Magic by Terry Pratchett
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
The Gas by Charles Platt
The Monsters of Magic

and im reading The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett right now... the Discworld novels are bad ass. but yes... get The Star Rover by Jack London... absolutely mind blowing. Barnes and Noble should have a couple copies. its not really that commercial of a book.

i just started a psychology book about moods and attitudes... it's partly a workbook, partly textbook... but it has still proven to be interesting.

I just finshed fear and loathing in las vegas I read it in a day or so, a pretty good book but I expected it to be better.

toggletoggle post by Josiah_the_Black  at Apr 21,2004 9:05pm
the book is better than the movie

if you EVER read any book in your life, read Choke by Chuck Pahlanhiuk
he's the guy that wrote fight club and some others as well
one of the most twistedly funny stories following this guy who is a sex-addict and all the fucked up shit he does

picture this- a monkey trained to put walnuts into a fat man's ass

If your ass is fat, the monkey'll tell you. He won't sugar-coat it.

Hey, how is that?? I've seen the movie, and I think it is one of the best movies I have ever seen, but I have just seen it the one time, and it was a while ago.

Also, what is The Da Vinci Code about?? I have been hearing so much about it.

A few months back I read Get Shorty by Elmore Leonard, and that was really good. Right now, I am finishing up Sphere by Micheal Crichton. I recommend that one, it is pretty good, even if you're not really a sci-fi fan (which I am not).

It is funny that this thread is up, 'cause I have been thinking about starting a thread like this for the past week or so.

Requiem was a damn good book I read it in three days, you have to realize the movie wasnt set in the seventies but the book was, its a bit confusing at first becuase of jewish and black dialects but youll get it down... disgard the name jim becuase tyrone always says it and hes not refering to harry, also it goes on about harry's mother as shes sent to the mental ward and receives shock therapy treatments.

Sounds good, I will definitely give it a read sometime.

IN the forest of the night, and demon in my view by emelia at-water rodes
although demon in my view was the sequal, you should read that one first. also, try searching for an english translated version of Taepriom.
