Or keys. But I'm not q good enough pianist to feel comfortable doing "prog" stuff; if you're looking for dream theater style key solos.

Can't give you an answer though, I'm pretty busy musically at the moment. But I live near you and like some of the stuff you listed, namely cynic, spastic ink, etc. I hate Coheed though; sorry.

More importantly, what's your stance on Cambria?

I play in a band with two guys whose major influences are The Pixies and "being a total faggot" respectively. It doesn't have to actually touch the music you end up creating.
No but seriously, I'm more into 70s prog than the stuff today. Hope all works out with this. There's not enough musicians in that area that listen to that stuff.

thats why ive also posted on LotsofNoise... it seems like the RI area has a slightly better math rock / mathcore population...

kyle, you gonna move to south eastern Massachusetts or pay for me to come live in Maine?..
Might have to be a recording project unless you put ads up around berklee. Keep in mind berklee musicians are douchebags, though.

ya, that sucks. i just wish i could find a solid drummer & bassist in the area, but, theres not a high demand for math / prog / tech music down here. I just REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to have to resort to moving to the greater Boston area. A misanthrope in the city is a ticking time bomb... muhuhahahah :rubs hands together in an evil cliche fashion:

This sounds like it would be really cool sounding. Best of luck.
ok, lets say, that in a few months or a little longer, i save up the $$ to move to the general Boston area, where are some decent priced places to live (rental apartments) where i don't have to fear crackheads or other forms of junkies (NOT saying all of Boston is filled with 'em)...???
hmmm...
-i have nothing against chinese food - i just dont want to smell like it 24/7.
-define hipster. i think living soo close to Harper's Ferry & O'Briens would improve my quality of life.
-what towns in Metro West are decent? or are they all interchangeable?
If you resemble anything like the people in the number 12 looks like you, you're a hipster.

You are all on a sinking island. As your country descends into miscegenation, you will find your money is worth nothing and your word less. That's no way for a man to live.

hah, to be honest, aril, i started listening to the #12 (seriously) about the same day i posted that youtube link. i still like the idea of mixing salsa, classical, neo-classical, jazz and w/e into random songs (with somewhat of a grindcore song structure styling) but, i'll take Dysrhythmia over them, any day of the week.
