I'm thinking about getting my mom a new phone (without a contract). She's got a crappy phone that she hates. I want to get her a new phone for xmas.

I'm looking at getting one of those that she can just pull out her sim and out it in one of those phones. Can I get a go phone and she can just slap in her SIM?

I don't mind spending $230 on a phone for my mom, but if I can spend $119 then I can use the left over cash to buy her something else.

I don't think it works that way, I've had AT&T for like 6 years and I just got a new phone and I had to use a new sim.

the new sims came around the time of 3g so if its newer than that i think u are good to go

it should work as long as the sim is a newer sim. My 2005 sim wouldn't work with my 2009 Iphone.

Reviews for this phone seem kinda shotty, faulty devices and such. might not be a good choice to buy without a warranty. Many people went through a few of these before getting one that worked correctly.
