I haven't given it enough chance. I only really WANT to be able to do like 2 or 3 things on it, but every time I try to research how to do them, I end up stumbling across tutorials that teach me WAY more than I want to know.
I've always gotten the impression that to use Premiere the way I want to, I'm going to have to jump in with both feet and spend a lot of time learning a good portion of the software's capabilities.
I was basically trying to do something set up like a music video format. That is... 1 static audio track that doesn't change and have MULTIPLE video files that run along with the audio then just kind of choose which angle I want showing a particular time, and keep swapping between 2 - 4 different shots.
Standard insert edit project. What version of Premiere are you using? Just drop the audio file into your timeline, and cut up your video using either the Cut Tool (C) and the Drag Tool (V), or drop your video clip into the preview window, set your in ( { ) and out ( } ) points and drop it into your timeline piece by piece.
If your video clips have audio with them that you don't want to hear... right click + "Unlink" + Deselect it and then click on the audio to delete it.
