ha, good luck. you'll either get Mother North or Forhekset. when i saw them in 2000 those are the only old ones they played. i've seen setlists since and sometimes they don't play anything at all before Rebel. i HATE what they became so much. its so frustrating, The Shadowthrone and Dark Medieval Times are so incredible.

They only play Mother North. At least, that's the only "old" song they played last time I saw them like 4 years ago. They're not huge on playing anything off their first 3 albums here in the states.

chthonic ruled. the only negative thing i could say is that they had a lot of the vocals and instruments tracked. there is no way that girls voice wasnt tracked. i swear i could hear it when she wasnt near a mic. also, the singer brought out that violin type instrument. that is my favorite part. i also had an awkward moment back stage with the bass player telling him how much i liked the 9th empyrean and that i shot them in 2002 and in merrrimack.

20 minute set times for the local openers. We played two 6+ minute songs to start, went to D drop & ate up 2 minutes on that, then finished with a 3.5 minute song... if they let us do another we would have went over 20. Satyricon on now. Yawn.

I thought they played really well. they had problems in 2000 when they played with immortal in small upstairs club with sound board and tech shit before and Satyr seemed pissed about it bc they couldn't get the live set off that stage they wanted but I thought the drumming was awesome.
