in all honesty, I know a lot of you guys voted for him and liked him with all of this change speaches. But the dude hasn't changed much at all. I'm wondering who paid these nords the money to pick him, when he didn't even know he was on the list of nominees. like yeti said, a huge slap in the face to everyone who really deserved this.

Exactly, the value of the Nobel Peace Prize is so diminished by giving it to Obama. He's only been in office 9 months, all he's done is opened discussions with Iran. IF he achieves what he plans with them, NK, Afghanistan, etc. then he will deserve it but this is something that shouldn't even be considered until well after he serves his term as president.

Gore was awarded it a couple years ago. I guess anybody can get one these days.

still he's already done all i voted for which was

- increase science/education funding
- continued legal abortions
- stem cell research funding
- funding for improvements to infrastructure
- funding for sustainable research & developement
- increase troops to afghanistan, get pakistan to aid against common taliban enemy
- health care improvements (ok that hasn't worked quite yet)
- increased govt. "transparency"

worth a peace prize? nope. but those were all realistic goals i knew i was voting for. i know sucking israel's cock will never change, fed. reserve influence, all that stuff that won't go away. what's left is increasing the value of the dollar (hahah yeah right)

I agree with what you posted above, however I don't think the gov't transparency is really there. In fact, I think it's worse. I guess it depends on what you're talking about. I'm thinking more along the lines of the finance oligarchs and wall street morons he supports and how he wants Ben Bernanke to head the Fed again (most secretive system ever). He supports the fed = Not transparent at all. They're shipping away trillions of dollars to world banks to get ready for the death of the dollar. this has been being reported all over the news the past few weeks, since the G20. But it doesn't make a headline here in America.

yeah it seems like the US is more interested in destroying farmer's opium fields (which they are growing legally and need to support their families) rather than destroying their oppressors, the taliban, who buy the opium, and who limit the growth and value of other crops.

i'm still confused to this day why the best soldiers in the world can't easily take out the taliban's power centers, no matter how 'underground' or melded they are.
