Don't try to dry super duper hot peppers in the microwave.
Never walk away from the microwave long enough for they drying pepper to catch fire.
If it DOES catch fire, do NOT open the microwave, and certainly do not inhale the exiting vapors.
If all the above should occur, at the very least do NOT sit on the couch as the vapors spread throughout the house, and proclaim "Don't worry! I turned the fan on. It's not that bad!"
It's even in the goddamned bathroom. Like I don't cry on the toilet ENOUGH already!
Nope. Turns out it only takes about 15 seconds for a mostly dried pepper to burst into flames in the microwave. Also, the resulting steam from the pepper is about 10X more potent than just eating the fucking thing. I ate two of these the other night whole and they weren't bad. However, light it on fire and suddenly it's like fucking tear gas. I'm still cracking up at how bad it got last night. We had every window open, the fan running, and were still hiding out on the balcony for about an hour.
