no problem douche.
I guess I don't know how to read:
I don't see 'Indie Rock' anywhere? |
Weird, none of the bands playing ARE indie rock? |
oh, then they must be death metal? wait, no, dance metal? pop rock death? snow core? pop punk death?
maybe if the network was playing people here would care (about the network). |
what's wrong with indie rock anyhow? |
the natework is facken sweeeeeeeeeet.
who is boobs?
i don't like indie or poppy shit either.
succubus, bowling? |
that basement was friggen coooooooold as ice. next time i'm bringing my own space heater. |
that network show was pretty killer there.
I heard a rumor that bsi is playing there soon. |
yes bowling! check with my bitch, i mean my boss
the_network kicks ass...i wonder if "boobs" means the network (billy joe band)..which is NOT indie rock...not in my book, anyhow
i like indie stuff soooooooooooooo |

yeah, most likely. i'll ask brian if the rumor is true or not, he lives with my gf now. i haven't seen them play in a longtime. |
I saw them like 5-6 times last year. |
bsi DID ask me about a show in may, so it will hopefully happen. i've already confirmed it with the kids that live in the house. on the whole indie thing - i'm trying to put on a variety of shows there, and since i know a lot of people who dig on RTTP came to the last few shows, they might be interested in other things there.
I might actually be at that show.
I want to see chan's new band.
maybe you could get the network to play again to shut people up.
oh, I'm going to update brith-rites.net tonight when I get home. I'm also going to figure out a way for you to update it your self. |
kudos birthrites..keep doing your thing! |
i've asked the_network to play that show in may with bsi, and i've also asked solipsist (sp?)....that show will shut people up for good hopefully. |
Half of the kids playing in these "indie" bands are the same kids who playing Tears of Avarel, Eyes Like Autumn and iRANACH. Just come out and support the same kids you supported years back. It's all music.
And the basement, to me, isn't cold at all, but I was piss drunk last time. It's probably the best venue around. Totally chill and a lot of fun. Hopefully we'll have another great turn out. |
i don't think cold exists if you're drunk does it? |
hey jonathan, did you tell keenan that we were gonna play that bsi show too? thatd be cool, i love those guys

yeaaaah i saw him at the dining hall the other day. i'd love for you guys to play another show there, and this would be a good one if it comes together.
People just need to make sure they don't fuck up again and steal shit from the basement. If that happens, no more shows. |
that's gay, what did people steal? |
they probably took the human head or the broken fan |
i am so sick of hearing about things getting stolen and things disappearing at shows...why are people so fucking retarded?
i've heard of t shirts and merch getting stolen...DAMN IT PEOPLE THESE ARE NEW BANDS TRYING TO MAKE IT STOP STEALING THEIR SHIT!!!
all i have to say in return is KARMA...they will get it back ten fold fuxxors |
yeah, my friend pete who lives there had some cd's and dvd's stolen last time. so lame. basically he said if that happens again, no more shows there. we're going to try and be a little more organized this time, keep people from hanging out upstairs and stuff. |
last time i was there, their physically wasn't enough room for everyone to be in the basement... also, try cleaning out some of the junk under the staircase if you haven't already. |
I agree that the basement needs to be cleaned out a bit. Problem was that once the people who had anything to do with the show got there, it was dark and it was a bunch of dumb fucks stumbling around in the dark. This time we're gonna show up early, get stuff organized, place anything that could be concieved as "valuable" someplace else and close off any areas that should be considered off limits.
I think if the living room is closed off, shit wont be an issue anymore stealing wise. Unless kids want to bring home dirty dishes, the kitchen won't get fucked with. Hopefully it'll be a warm night like the last show and kids can hang in the basement, kitchen and outside. |
and hopefully everyone will get shitassed drunk and dance like it's 1983 |
thats my birthday. isnt that a week night? i may go anyhow. thats only like 30 minutes from me |
Cujo (ex-failsafe device) 1 man, Digital percussive chaos from NY, interested in playing. Seed867 on aim |

I believe that's the guy's e-mail |
hey toby -
about this mythical basement: How would one go about getting a show together there? I need not book, just want to play it, though I know some bands that would want to play NH that haven't yet. If you do the shows there, consider my band The Taste of Silver -- www.thetasteofsilver.com . Get in touch and maybe we could rock 2gether thetasteofsilver@yahoo.com
any help is awesome
and awesome still means cool to me.
What kind of stuff do you guys do? The reason I ask is the guy who books most of the shows there (i.e. every single one of them besides this one, which he still had a hand in) is doing some other gigs grouping together bands that compliment eachother seeing as how the majority of kids around here are close minded and wont go to a show that one of their fave bands is playing if "fag" or "indie" bands are opening.
we play all sorts of stuff. We have some lighter songs but we have a lot of grind and hardcore songs too. We've played with metal bands and been received really well but also played with some sea-shanty bands and also come across well. We have MP3s on the website if you want to check some out, and if the show dictates just acoustic stuff we could do that, but if it dictates an epic black metal tune, we have some of those under our belts, too |
to give a clearer picture of how we do:
We're doing a split release with Aganihm and my friend Helen. Aganihm is a tech grind band that plays with all sorts of full-on metal rosters (they played return to the pit in January). Helen plays acoustic female folk. We're really diverse, open-minded. We're also playing with Dead Dead Death in Albany on April 16th. |
