New site? Maybe some day.
No discussion? I doubt any of you are surprised. |
no longer living in MA...no care EVAR |
what discussion is there? we just bend over and take it like always. |

That is of course unless you live within 30 minutes of new hampshire. |
So they'll decriminalize doob but hike up the prices on booze? I don't like the idea that 30s of high life will be even closer to $20 now. |
Well there used to be no sales tax on the booze not that it mattered the prices were still ridiculous. |
It is true that this will just force more people to drive to NH to buy things. |
simple soltion:
abolish the federal reserve and monetary financial system, get rid of currency, and live off planet earth. no worries about money period. |
lol if only that would work. |

But what about those thousands of years that were put into enslaving the masses? We can't let that all go to waste! |
there are a number of things wrong with this state.
MBTA is one of them. shit is falling apart. drivers text while 200 people depends on them.
bridges are crumbling, roads are riddled with potholes.
of course they're going to fuck over everyone that lives in this state. it's funny because boston is known as the Athens of America - a center of education, hospitals, knowledge and power.
but then you look at everything else.. it's falling apart from within.
money controls everything. sad, sad society. human race = destined for failure |
idiot train/subway/bus/whatever drivers who text aren't unique to boston. it happened in california not too long ago and people died. |

They spent way to much money in the past especially with that failure of a project we call the "big dig" and now we are paying the price. |
THIS FUCKING RULES!!! LIVE FREE OR DIE!! |
yea, the commuter train that crashed outside of LA a few years ago. something like 80 people died, right?
regardless, MBTA claims to be underfunded. I pay 250 bucks a month for my zone 8 pass. it used to be 212 or something. and then they raise the parking fee at all commuter rail stops to 4 dollars a day. FUCK LAZ PARKING AND FUCK THE MBTA |
it's not worth it to take the mbta anymore. fuck that scam |
All I can say is that if Deval or another Ultra-Liberal gets elected again I am moving out of this state. Probably to New Hampshire. |
no thanks on driving. my cars on its last leg. the amount of money i'd pay in gas and repairs would exceed the price of the MBTA so I guess I shouldn't be complaining. perhaps I will just move out of the woods and into the city |
then your rent will be ridiculous. it's a no-win situation |
deval patrick is a terrible governor |
massachusetts hasn't had a good governer in years.
this state is more corrupt than we all think. |
the media bashes deval to no end.. but rightfully so.
still, remember healey? fucking rich north shore cunt from beverly farms? she would have sucked too |

I voted for christy mihos. Just like how I voted Libertarian this past presidential election. Why? Not only does it pretty much reflect my views but also I can't be blamed for the fuck-ups that Obama and Deval are/will commit. |

massachusetts hasn't had a good governer.
mis-placed ya period. |
hey at least you stick to your guns. the chances are slim that any libertarian gets elected for anything.
the whole bipartisan shit is absurd. everything is democrat this democrat that or republican this or that. fucking disgrace this political system is. founding fathers are rolling around in their grave right now.
-politicians all suck. they are phony puppets that make laws instead of fixing issues
-this state is corrupt, as is just about every other one.
-we don't live in a democracy or a republic anymore, just a oligarchy amongst the rich indivuduals/business men that run the world
- money is meaningless
- the us "government" hinders the individual which ultimately hinders society which in turn ultimately hinders the progression of the human race. catch my drift?
beam me up scotty, because this fucking state/country/world/society is pathetic. someone give me a 12 guage so i can blow my head off |
Don't do that who will I pwn in cs if you're gone!? |
Democrats are merely socialists in disguise. Obama's tripling the size of the government. So all those benefits and good pay for government jobs.... taxes have no where to go but up. And fuck Patrick, he's a hack. He promises to cut back property taxes and does nothing about it! Instead proposes tax increases on sales and gas. |

Bingo.
Why don't people realize this before they vote people like obama and patrick into office?
Retards, the lot of you. |
right.. cause if there is one thing that Republicans do, it's shrink the size of government and definitely do not spend us into a deficit. |
one of the reasons I moved from MA...got tired of being treated like i owed the state everything i fucking had |

the reason why i'm debating to move. |
seriously, i was apprehensive about coming back to NJ but it was like a breath of fresh air to not have the state you live in constantly hounding you for more and more money every chance it gets |
you guys should just move to the midwest.. |
the problem is not demos vs. repubs, the problem is state government in general. The pension/perk system is out of control and it will never be reigned in. Why change something that massively benefits you? (and by you I mean anyone working for the state). Politicians are royalty, why work hard to try and reduce waste when you can simply tax the dirty common folk more? |
Massachusetts: Good programs, horrible administrators. |
right.. cause if there is one thing that Republicans do, it's shrink the size of government and definitely do not spend us into a deficit. |
Conservatives by definition support smaller government and scold large spending. There just aren't too many actual conservatives right now.
Most self-proclaimed conservatives are democrats as far as I'm concerned (GWB for example). |
how about this:
Abolish government. Period. problem solved. true power to the people. |
I worked for the state of MA and I'll be honest, if I wanted to stay there for the rest of my life and work my EXTREMELY cushy job I would have been all set in like 15-20 years. But the first 5-10 of those would have sucked....a lot. |
http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/taxesbystate2005/
interesting, but consider:
1) this is by percentage of income, so residents of high-cost-of-living states like IL and MA will pay more in absolute dollars because the average incomes are higher.
2) in MA, graduated/progressive taxation is actually unconstitutional; people who make less money only pay less taxes due to credits/rebates/deductions that can get complicated and arcane to actually work out. |
Mass will always vote Dem, and Mass will always suffer the consequences and bitch about it later.
I wish that state would just float off of the mainland and be the idiot island that it acts like now. |
This sucks because now all the MA scum is going to infest Southern NH and turn it into a garbage pile more than it already is. |
I don't know how you could make Southern NH any worse than it already is. |
even more traffic to my store now=job security |
Southern NH sucks why???
Massholes. Scum. Poverty sticken by their filthy government. Looking for salvation anywhere they can find it. Overtaxed. Underpaid. Welfare state.
I cannot even explain my hatred for that state and their politics. They are slowly moving north and bringing with them the decay of their own state.
I wish death upon that state, and California. It's only taken them 200 years to start to realize that socialism doesn't work. Hopefully, the socialism in that state dies with the Kennedy's. |
haha, i'm looking at the golden dome on the MA State House as I read this.
what lies underneath that dome is corruption and stingy puppets (politicians). ah, the irony. |
Hope for America...good job Mass. |
Northern New England is raviolis. |

We're scum? Go fuck yourself. |
Hoser's oppinion is null and void cause he ditched a republican NH for the most liberal state maine. |
I thought maine was more conservative than NH. |
If people want to start making a change, start from the bottom up in the state. Which would involve voting out the retard democrats in the state senate and house that have run unopposed for years and not done a fucking thing for us because until they get caught with a dead hooker in their trunk or fucking a kid, they have the job for life. Replace them with Republicans, Liberatians, Green Party, ect. Anything to have some different views and not a massive one party system that never changes! |
The problem is the majority of our state are morons. The intelligent people let alone the ones who can vote are in the minority. I personally feel its a lost cause which is why sometimes I feel like moving out of the state. |
reimroc: you are completely wrong.
they already passed gay marriage.
there is only one prominent republican: olimpia snow.
they also bought laptops for every kid for 2 or 3 years. |
I presume you're talking about the maine subject? I was completely in the dark you have to remember I don't follow maine's politics lol |
it's also hilarious because hoser lives in maine which was part of mass and basically still is. 8% income tax and 5% sales tax.
Keep it up and come to NH to shop please! |
maine is a 15 minute walk from where I live. |
I've always shopped in NH. Other than gas/little things I can't think of one occurrence where I've purchased something of value in Massachusetts. It also helps that I border Hollis. |
All the southern NH towns like Salem, Nashua and Rochester (where I live) is seeing more and more MA people every year. There's not a day that goes by I don't see a MA license plate. |
fuck this shit state. i need to get out so bad. the only reason i don't is because of the fact that jobs are difficult to find, and i'm lucky to have a very secure one. my lease is up on July 1st and i don't want to stay here. |

NH residents have seen MA license plates ever since its been cheaper to shop up there. Nothing really to complain about. I see more NH plates than MA plates in Burlington where I work. |
bump for the sole reason of bringing up the MBTA again:
all subways in boston were down this morning due to a power failure. there were about 10 people here that had to walk from all over.
also, LAZ parking failed to see that I paid my 5 dollars for parking yesterday, and billed me again.
mbta is the lamest excuse for public transportation in the country |
Yea the mbta can be quite frustrating. They're always talking about new and exciting changes to help the travelers but I haven't seen anything yet. The only part of the mbta that actually fulfills its duty is the commuter rail. |
new and exciting means randomly changing things so that you get newly confused |
at least once a week the MBCR has a "mechanical failure" that results in leaving an hour late. its usually on Monday mornings. |

yea but other than that its usually on time and does its job. |
what yeti said.
for a while, with the implementation of the multi-million dollar greenbush commuter rail line (because the rich doctors and lawyers in Duxbury), my train was and hour late 1-2 times a week. they just brushed it over. it's a little better now but the greenbush people are still douchebags |
The Lowell/Fitchburg lines were always on time when I used them. I guess it depends on which line you use. |

...the sales tax from 5 percent to 6.25 percent and generate $633 million, according to the Senate. Lifting the sales tax exemption on alcohol sold at package stores would raise $80 million, senators said. They said the money would be used to help offset deep cuts in services for the poor elderly and disabled. |
$700 million to help the elderly and the disabled?! Fuck them. Is that seriously the furthest we can stretch 700 million fucking dollars is for new tennis balls on nursing home walkers? |
Rev, you may hate my opinion like death but what I say is the blatant, tangible truth. I moved to Maine to escape the Nerw Yorkers and Massholes that are invading it. I don't mind paying the taxes as long as it keeps me away from those morons. Make fun all you want. You live in decay central (portsmouth), so enjoy. Portsmouth is a bottomless sewer for hipsters and tourists. You know as well as I do that it isn't half the city it was when we were kids. Massholes are one of 2 classes, garbage or yuppies. Portsmouth take the garbage in to show their bullshit democratic humanitarianism, all supported by hypocritical, liberal money. |
I support massholes coming to spend money on shit in NH on their way to/from vacationing in maine. |
Yuck...the problem is, when they get here, they see what they don't have and either theyre rich enough to buy their way into the state, or they just move here and draw SS disability and inpoverish yet another state.
FUCKING SCUM. |
And naturally, they vote for whatever hand promises to feed them the most...i.e our current nigger president who everyone will be bitching about in the next 2 minutes. |
You guys could do what I did... move to the south.
A person can actually work a blue collar job in this state and afford to live by himself. Wish I could say the same about New England. |
Massholes are one of 2 classes, garbage or yuppies. |
Do you try to make yourself sound this retarded? You do realize 95% of the state doesn't live in Boston making that statement null and void. Either way on what basis and evidence do you have that out of the whole population of Massachusetts there are only two sets of people: yuppies and garbage. The guy with down-syndrome i see every day on my way to work drooling in his wheelchair makes more logical sense when speaking than you do. |

Things like that have tempted me after a trip to Louisiana last year. |
