We can't wait to get on a Metal Thursday again. We would have jumped on one by now but we wanted to make sure we were totally ready to play again. With that said, Dreaded Silence is going to be better than ever.
This is going to be a fun show. can't wait to play with jon and chris from withered sun and see their new lineup. divinity destroyed is a cool band and i've been wanting to check them out on one of their trips up here, and anthony and the pathogenic dudes are always a good time.

we were hoping to play the march 5th edition of metal thursday but i couldn't get all the guys in the band to commit in time to ask you about it, plus we need more practice. we're looking forward to returning to metal thursday soon.

I was just joking around, dude. I just found out last night that we're not playing the show. There's a little friction between us and one of the other bands.

No friction within the band, there's been a disagreement with the band we share a room with, who also happens to be playing the same show. They've moved out of the practice space and we're pulling out of the show.
well if you go by mr horrors' rules, you shouldn't have bands that share any of the same members, because it will hurt draw.... but i think it makes it a little easier, as far as space for equipment and such.
anthony has been out of our band for over a year. as far as i know, none of the bands share a drummer, unless anthony or chris helme have decided to commute to NY to play with divinity destroyed.

our other guitarist's brother wanted us to play at his wedding back in september, so we did a few covers, mostly classic rock and a katatonia song. we don't regularly play weddings, but it was definitely a fun time, especially having the father of the bride sing bad to the bone with us.

Our guitarist's brother asked us to play his wedding so we weren't really "hired". It was a blast though. All the tables at the reception had info cards about the bride and groom's favorite bands. It was a pretty unconventional wedding.
There have been about 100 working titles for that song just in the past couple months. DS Katatonia type idea, the scriviner, nutbag, snickerdoodle cookies are win, etc. Basically people can call it whatever they want until Ken finishes the lyrics, which should be this week.
Ravage would have been awesome, but like bob says, it's an awesome lineup with just those 4 so I'm not gonna complain. Plus it leaves time for all the bands to play good length sets.
me likes, but it could use a little something up top. maybe break up the text and put the date up top and the rest at the bottom, bigger and more a focus of the flyer. or you could put the date and club name up at the top and the rest on the bottom. just some suggestions. also, a picture of a boner would be good too, since we are boner-fueled melodic metal.

At UML they've been dicking around for one and a half semesters about letting me audition for the music program and they finally are letting me audition! only thing is it's on april 9th, and i REALLY don't want to have to worry about getting pathogenic ready for our first show and have us not be as tight as we can be, on top of learning all the shit i need to learn for my audition (since pretty much the rest of my school career depends on it).
Shows WILL BE HAPPENING afterwards though, and i will cut my dick off before letting this band break up again haha.
rohirrim was the first band i suggested and tom said he was thinking of them, then kyle says they could probably do it. this all amounts to destiny, my friends. i really hope they can do it.
The only guy we're waiting is our singer, Like I said he usually works 3rd shift, so he has to put in the request and that whole thing. He should find out within the next week, so please bear with us; I'll make sure to let you guys know as soon as he tells me

They might postpone what ever show they have going on that night to come to this show, if you could guarantee a surplus of babes in the audience. Atleast maybe the one chick at Ralphs he was interested in.......guiche guiche

HAHAHAHA That reminds of a time when I stopped at Honey Farms after a Ralphs show with Mike from DS. He grabbed a box of cereal and TWO boxes of mini donuts. When I asked him what he was doing he INSISTED that he needed it lol. The next morning he apparently had no recollection of why he had bought it.
