Yeah, Rampant Decay might be doing some show-swapping and who knows what else with them. Good band.
sweet, this should be a good show then. Rich- if you wanna come we could give you rides probably. Then after our set me and you could get belligerent. I think it will be dangerous when we combine our partying abilities.

sorry for offering. and AFTER that, informing you that my offer was what the kids call "kidding" (not really, but after i realized how far you were... really)
Untombed - Loved, and they get tighter every time I see 'em... it's really coming together and rivaling if not topping Summoning Hate.
Unmen - I like the energy and some of the riffage but it got tired pretty quickly.
Boarcorpse - I never saw Ouch before, but my friend has told me a number of times I'd like 'em. So I've learned Boarcorpse is basically Ouch with a 2nd guitarist and these guy BLEW ME AWAY. Everything about them ruled ass. Drummer rocked the double kick 200+bpm effortlessly and stopped on dimes... killed... all of em... definitely one of the best all around metal bands in Boston.
Summoning Hate - Bass was too loud in the mix, not their fault. Played a great old school set, Juan joined in and having seen them a number of times now that's when their set starts cooking becoming more energized and possessed by god knows what. Juan left and the energy stayed up and the last couple of songs had some cool time changes and newer school shit that was either new songs or ones they don't always play or I drank too much other times I've seen 'em.
I usually don't contribute shit like this on message boards, but I did a line or two so I'm in the mood.
Thanks for coming out peoples, ralphs is definetely a fun place to play. Bob Barker, are you the guy who I was talking to about the 2nd guitarist thing?

maaaaaaybe... are you the handsome gentleman with the charming smile?
nice to meet you too Chris. This was hands down, the coolest crowd we've gotten to play for. They went apeshit, we couldn't keep the goofy grins off of our faces. Unmen killed, i really liked the converge-esque stylings. Good shit. Cool dudes too. The real star of the night was my drums... playing in 3 out of the 4 bands. The only band that didn't use my drums was Untombed.
I gotta say Boarcorpse kicked my ass. They're recording this weekend finally, I'm psyched to hear it. Terry's vocals have really improved and that new black guy they have shreds..haha..I don't even have to say how great the rest of the guys are. Unmen was pretty sick but their style is always hit or miss for me. Had to hit the road before Summoning Hate, wish I stayed though. Great show, great fucking time.
^^Yup, "The Harvest Floor" is redonkulas. Love it. Thanks for coming out Jon, it's always awesome when you bring carloads to shows. And your cousin pat... wow, that kid is awesome. He even kinda scared me behind the drums.
I love Ralphs. We ate a burger after the show was over and it was great, the people who work there are hilarious, and the decor is warms the cockles of my heart. I will have to make it out there more often. Getting up for work @6am when we finished unloading @3am was fabulous. I wanna play again right now, i love playing for rowdy crowds.
hah...yeah the singer from Unmen took a cheap shot at him so that set him off, after you guys played the drummer from Unmen came up to him and gave him a demo, said "You are fucking crazy, this is for you."
wish had stayed later but pat and lish wanted to go, i blame them. ralph's is a great time no matter what anyone says.
well the Unmen dudes were possibly one of the coolest group of dudes around. They went berserk almost constantly while they weren't playing. I love that, dudes know how to have fun...
Let me mention though, Ralphs had the strongest scent of BO i have smelled since the old Living Room was open.... or the last time i went to the NJ meltdown in Asbury Park.
That was a fantastic show! Oh man I needed it. My job was driving me bonkers earlier and some good grindy death metal made by the most awesome of dudes was what I needed!!!

I noticed that too! It was both awful and wonderful at the same time.

We played a house show in NJ a couple of weeks ago where Unmen were supposed to play (cops broke it up before they got the chance), and they were having a fucking crazy time for all the other bands....it was awesome...love those dudes
