Coldplay - Viva la Vida <~~~ I'd sworn off Coldplay post-Rush of Blood to the Head, but goddamn some of the tracks on this album are awesome, Joe Satriani songs or not...

Cult of Luna - Somewhere Along the Highway
Echo and the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain
Ride - Going Blank Again
Neurosis - Through Silver in Blood
Sigur Ros - Takk
Hum - You'd Prefer An Astronaut
Jimmy Cliff - The Harder The Come (soundtrack)
The Jesus Lizard - Liar
K-OS - Atlantis
Vince Guaraldi Trio - A Charlie Brown Christmas (so addictive)
Ocean - Pantheon of the Lesser
Don Cab - World Class Listening Problem
Thrice - Alchemy Index Vols. I-IV

and an album that took me a little while to lock into but now love...

Mogwai - The Hawk is Howling

Hope that'll mix up the usual for you...

I had a residence at the rattlesnake downtown on boylston every mon, and every third friday with a big chested beautiful lady on the keys and singing, and me on snare, bass, hats crash ride. Mostly brushes but some lightning rods too, and we were called Emily Degraff and her amazing tits.. I would be introduced as the third tit. She coincidentally is the older sister of the singer of the TOOL tribute i am in.

ANYWAYS.....

we covered a BUNCH of BLACK KEYS songs, they were a lot of fun to play. Great music.

Seriously. Those dudes fucking kill. One of the heaviest and best bands out right now, IMO.

If you haven't yet, go out of your way to see them live. I've seen some heavy shows, and they definately make it to the top 5, for sure (and there's some stiff competition there). Just huge and punishing. The singer has an amazing presence on stage. I swear he doesn't even need a mic. So powerful.

Really nice guys too. I've done sound for them twice now, and they were real cool and easy to work with.

I've gotta re-upload those other Witchtomb videos I've got. It was from that Great Scott show in January 07 that I think RichHorror put on. I've got a clip of Revocation, WitchTomb's set, and Hekseri. Hekseri didn't come out too well because Megan's amp was ear-peircing and right next to my camera, which kept making it malfunction.
