It used to be easy to get a show there. I've written them 4 times in the past few months and haven't heard so much as a peep in response. What am I doing wrong?
last time I was there, they were going to build it back up. there were a lot of things ownership-wise that have gone down there lately. that dust has settled. Like the site saiys "in it for the music"

Wednesdays are coming back starting in January (there is a show next week however). In all honesty we stopped them because the people just stopped coming to them, but are more than willing to put on shows as long as bands are willing to play. Unfortunately it really is not appealing to play to an empty room, so eventually the bands stopped wanting to play the Wednesday shows altogether. Now for the tough part of all of this; we have gradually gotten away from the "heavy" stuff on Fridays and Saturdays for financial reasons. The mosh-pit friendly crowds just do not produce the kind of revenue some of the other genres do, so in order to keep the doors open we have had to make adjustments to our format. We have limited metal/hardcore to Wednesdays and Sundays with the exception of Agnostic Front being on a Thursday (which is also an option). I am doing my best to maintain the booking front, but have fallen a bit off track as of late. hands down this is the best venue is all of NE...there I said it..prove me wrong

Last time Hive Smasher played there we collectively ate 100 Wings and a complimentary amount of beer before taking a victory lap around surrounding streets punching eachother in the stomachs to see who would puke first before going on. Needless to say, the stage smelled of dead carcass and methane by the time we were done playing.
