My only complaint is the bass drum... it's way too fucking loud. but it's an undiscovered gem, you've got that right. definitely a huge influence in my writing for herugrim.

Yup, that's the minor flaw, indeed.
After listening to Welcome My Last Chapter, I always find myself following up with Dawn (especially Slaughtersun), and Sacramentum.
If I played bass, I'd probably be interested; considering I've wanted to play Black Metal with like-minded individuals for some time now. I've only now started making a sorry, albeit, an honest attempt at practicing guitar.

Fuck yeah! The original title is "Wings of Sorrow" but people got confused since it has "Welcome My Last Chapter" on the cover, so they reprinted the CD with the new title.
Some Metal trivia from The Professor.
I actually have both version of the CD.

it really is a great record. one of the best melodick black/death albums ever. members of the black were in this band too. they have a new album coming out as well.

also an influence on my black/death band cursed for eternity. new album out next year.
here's a question for the professor:
I remember hearing Dan Swano did the keys on this album. In fact, it used to say he did on metal-archives as well.
It might have been taken down.
Confirm?

haha it was at an entombed show. i think i bought a skepticism cd from you. entombed was touring with hatebreed (satisfaction just came out), and bloodlet. converge, shadows fall, and some wicked gay hc/"black metal" band played as well. maybe even overcast. it was one of those marathon shows. i forget what that last band was but they sucked so bad.

again it's not anywhere nearing overlooked
anyone seriously into black metal knows this CD
which is pretty good considering it was their only album and it was released 15 years ago

Temple of Darkness Records, coinciding with the 15th anniversary, re-issued W.M.L.C. in 24th April 2010 in a deluxe CD edition with clam shell box, poster, sticker and certificate. The re-issue also includes new layout with old photos taken by the band between 1993 -1996 and the bonus track:
I don't even care about Wintersun anymore. Anything for a new Vinterland or Dawn album unless it sounds like the newest The Black album, still there's no way the new Vinterland could suck.
can't beat it. 2016 link for listening, though everyone on here who listens to melodic metal or black metal should own it anyway. i agree with arillius on the kick drum, but whatever. that's how it sounds live in every venue around here regardless of the band.
I was psyched to see them at MDF a few years back, but it was kind of a let down. I think one of their guitarists was having sound problems, so hopefully they come around again.
