it was a one-off from a beer store here in columbus...how the store got it i haven't a clue. but goddamn, so glad i have it.

don't quote me on Julios.....i have not been there, i just hear from everyone that they have the best selection in new england.....so i figure, if that's true, than anything i have seen at both Yankee and Nikki's must be there.

but, if you are near/don't mind driving to western MA, i know there is a Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge

from what i've read, it's not kosher to sell westvleteren. the monks only sell it at the abbey and their cafe, and they ask people who buy not to resell the beer. i'd be really surprised if it's openly available in any liquor store, definitely a back room only type thing if at all.

i don't think there is a westvleteren 10, and i think they stopped making the 6 10 years ago. might you be thinking of the rochefort? they've got 6, 8 and 10, and while available, they definitely aren't everywhere. good as fuck, too.

I'm quite thankful that the local liquor store near my house carries rochfort 6,8, and 10. Excellent beers. I liked the 8 the most.
