my favorite experience with kenny lanning was a show at club octane on main st. in worcester where despised icon was booked(but got caught in traffic in nyc, or heard who was responsible for the show and said "fuck it") and kenny called me as i was walking out the door asking "hey i never got a PA or a sound guy do you guys have something all the bands could use?"

burn in silence, burn my remains, perpetual winter, pillory, sacreligion, and tyag on a 4 channel 200-watt squier pa with one broken channel, shitty speaker cables, and two 10-inch speakers.

everything about that show that didn't involve kenny was awesome.

My favorite Kenny Lanning time is when me, Joe cobra (newbury) and shawn malloy booked the ashland fish and games show with DI, TTEOTD ED Gein, IDN, Porphyria, mortencia, war on our shores etc. He went to the show and told all the bands he booked it, and tried to stop people from moshing.

The only thing better then that was when a bunch of the huge kids moshing soon figured out he was full of shit and scared him enough that he got the fuck out of there ASAP.

He also told people there he quit drinking.

i remember missing that show merely because i heard kenny lanning was involved and didn't think any of the bands booked were actually showing up
