I couldn't pass it up. They let me upgrade from an Academic version of CS2 and took 200 bucks off the upgrade. Went with the 'Web Premium' version

I haven't had a chance to play with it today though. Anyone else fucking around with it? Anything new and neat?

Yeah CS3 phased out Audition and replaced it with soundbooth. It's basically the same thing, except it seems to be more comprehensive. I'm not an audio tech so I couldn't get into specifics.

I JUST convinced my work to buy us the CS3 upgrades, not even knowing that 4 was in the works. Oh well, it's a huge leap from Premiere 2.0, and I love the way that Encore, Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects all work so seamlessly together now.

well, I'm somewhat lying. I miss Cool Edit. I use Audition 2.0 sometimes. I have Cool Edit on my other (old) computer which I use when I'm on that.

i had an older one but remember upgrading to that and then upgrading (once I got another computer) to Adobe Audition. I take what I said back. I use Audition 1.5, not 2.0. 2.0 sucks.
