I'd be a liar if I said I enjoyed much about Easter Bloodhounds other than the pseudo-tripping girl on stage (I saw you walking around perfectly fine afterwards...lame act).
both Libyans and Angels of Meth were awesome surprises.
Judging by recordings in comparison to live quality AOM definitely needs to put out a more quality recording (which apparently exists).
Cable was awesome. Never thought I'd get a chance to hear those songs live.
The thing that surprised me was that AOM sounded so huge that they sort of sonically dwarfed every band but Akimbo. Not to say that Cable wasn't loud and awesome. They just were not as huge sounding as AOM.
That was my surprise of the night.

Mark/Brian, this is Mike from AOM, glad you guys dug it, had a blast last night. Akimbo fucking killed. Hope to have that new recording out soon, though I don't know what that means. Kurt did an awesome job, as is probably expected, it sounds totally different than the old recordings. At the very least, we'll have burned sampler copies to give out at our next show. Dec 13th with Zozobra at Great Scotts. |
