My amp head just started shitting the bed this weekend. It needs new power tubes, new pre-amp tubes, probably some tube sockets, and a mess of minor maintenance, etc.

My major problem is this: we're starting a major recording on the 26th of Feb and it's extremely unlikely that the repairs/servicing would be done on my head before then.

Can anyone lend me a quality tube head for 5-6 days, Feb 24 or 25 through 29?
I can trade you mine for that time period if you need something for practice. it works alright, one of the tubes is crackling a lot and isn't in a condition to record with but I've still be using it for practice anyway and it's doing fine as far as that goes.

why don't you just use terrence's gear for the recording?

He'll be using it. We record everything live at once.

It would be the biggest mess. There's too much going on in our songs for anyone of us to nail it without watching eachother play while hearing it too. We're a pain in the ass like that.

Buy a amp from guitar center then return when your done...........

The studio might have their own selection of heads for clients to use, but they've yet to return our calls and I'm not taking the chance of assuming they have some without specifically being told what they have.
